Marco! cheltenhams gold cup is one of the biggest races on the callendar,It has a few days worth of lesser races leading up to the gold cup itself! the "grand national" is still the biggest of them all & its held in may 8).

The Grand National is the only time I bet on the gee gees. I don't really know enough about this sport, but I reckon if you're at the track you stand a better chance in winning, as you can view everything.

Talking of betting, when I was in Amsterdam a month ago, I got talking to this English guy in a Brown bar, delayed on a trip to Milan. This guy makes a complete living from travelling Europe and parts of the world, gambling in casinos. What a way to live and that's all he does. Crazy stuff.

I like to have a gamble but work late shifts so i sleep most of the days aways,shame i have only just seen this topic because i would of liked to have taken some tips ;)

The guy who travels the world gambling has my dream job,not so much the casinos but full time gambler sounds great too me,shame i back to many donkeys and really bad football teams lol

Yes, the guy was a star a serious real player, kind of reminded me of James Bond in a way, after. That was his living, a guy of about 45ish, making a living off roulette, dice and cards, etc. It wasn't until half an hour of talking with him until the subject was brought up about this. Very nice guy, who offered to buy drinks and stay talking longer.

I asked him what his biggest win was, in one go...........£137000.

I was way out of my depth here. lol

The only time I've ever won anything was when I put a fiver on Lordi to win the Eurovision Song Contest - made £50 on that one ! :-)
