Really nice place. Not your average featureless hotel. Lots of character around every corner. More like staying in a museum really. Top tips - Have a smoke then enjoy the starry ceilinged swimming pool. Enjoy a nice soak in one of their massive tubs in the rooms and avoid the breakfast buffet. At 25 eu it might be the most expensive breakfast in Amsterdam!
It is the kind of place that is just fun to explore as there is yet another architechural oddity around every corner. It is a shortish walk (10mins) to Niewmarket through a lovely part of town and Stix is on the way!
