Looking for a CS that is on a boat...don't know it's name

Post by Lisou Space Cakes »

When i was on tour with a band i was playing with we stopped into a coffeeshop on the river.....i think it was in amsterdam but it might not have been....
maybee just outside of it....

The shop was inside of an old steam boat....i believe....
not the best.....but not the worst....
got supplied for the trip through belgium....
good batch of amnesia haze.....
and some mediocre White widow for bed time

anyone know what shop this is?

How long ago were you in town? If it's been 10 years then it may be 'De thee boot' which has long since closed.

Other wise there is the culture boat in Utrecht.

I remember seeing a coffeeshop boat in an old Cheech & Chong movie.

They were however made in the 80's so for info purposes may be a little out of date!

Although de Theeboot otherwise known as 'the floating coffeeshop' was very unique, I never really rated it as a coffeeshop. The menu wasn't that great and it was expensive, the interior was a bit run down and had no real atmosphere. Worst of all, it stank pretty bad inside.
All that aside, it was nice smoking out on the deck on a warm summers day.

What´s my prize? ;-)

just kidding! I´m pleased to have helped you...

I was often "on" the Mississippi in the late 90ies. Spent whole days on it! ;-)
Smoking on a "rock´n´rolling" boat is a great feeling! I don´t know why there´s no coffeeshop on a boat in Amsterdam nowadays!?

After the refurbishment of the Mississippi (in 2002 I guess) I went there only once. The cozyness of the "old days" isn´t there anymore. Anyway, their smoke was never the best in Maastricht. Just their ZeroZero and fine Maroc were worth the price.
