Paradox
Re: Paradox
Finally made it back here yesterday. I don't find myself venturing outside of De Pijp and Centraal for bud, so it was nice having people stay as an excuse to get out to the West of centraal. I had never sat here, and although I hadn't been overly sold by the space cake I bought here, I really really thought we should try the 100% Sativa has I had missed out on all the Grinspoon Sativa . So grabbed a gram of the 100%, got a milkshake (which is actually just a fruit smoothy, Bannana and Strawberry) and a toasti both of which were very nice. Managed to sit down at the big table in the slight alcove, left when facing the dealers counter.
I think this place was understaffed. There was only one guy on doing all the orders and making of the drinks and food, and this place was full capacity seating wise. He was running round like crazy and took a while to get served for our bud and food orders, the actual time to arrival of food was pretty quick !
The bud itself is really light, small budlets, light green, not a great amount of aroma, kind of like shoreline but muted, maybe a little more fruity. The smoke though was really really nice, quite like a rocketship taking off with my mind. Tasted and effects were quite clean, impressive considering the mind bomb. Really glad to have smoked some finally.

Re: Paradox
During my trip in September we visited three times and each time it was rammed and couldn't get a seat so we ventured on to 1e hulp. Don't know if this is due to the referb or what but seems to me long gone are the days of chilling watching the locals pop in and out steadily.Padge247 wrote:Finally made it back here yesterday. Re: Paradox
Paradox is always on my coffeeshop to visit list for any trip and I normaly make it, this trip I bought
Wash €12 0.8g: a relativly expensive Moroccan hash but it is quite different to the other samples of Moroccan I have had across the city for the last few years, a very tough block of hash that needs a metal grinder to break up. A smooth tasty smoke with a long hard stone to boot. I liked it but not sure I will be returning just for this hash
Turkish €5 0.6g: an old favourite of mine, again a solid peice of hash but one of my favourite smokes flavour wise, smooth and uniuque. It's not as strong as the wash but it put me in a good place, one of my bargin buys and I will no doubt find myself buying more in the future.
Again Paradox was a great place to kill a few hours and was as always these days busy, shame the finger hash not on the menu, one day I will be lucky maybe.

I like bananas, monkey nuts and grapes. That's why they call me Sam of the apes
Re: Paradox
Popped in and asked if they had any of that "100$ Sativa" stuff left. (typo unintended)
I was presented with a bunch of enthusiasm and a long story (I asked for neither).
Dude launched into a detailed(!) tale about his precious sativa, starting with the difference between sativa and indica and "high" and "stoned" and I kinda just listened and nodded.
The most interesting part was where he said that after harvesting the buds they re-flower the plant for the next harvest and this way they get many harvests from a single plant. What a golden goose
anyway i was running short on time so i had to just interrupt him and leave

Re: Paradox
to be 100% fair to the person in Paradox they could have been talking about a re veg after flower. Perhaps not explained very well.orle wrote:.

The other explanation is that they were talking piffle.
How much did you produce?
Re: Paradox
He was definitely talking about re-flowering and not just re-vegging, "and those little buds, they grow right back!". Revegging/reflowering/regenning a Grinspoon is plain weird anyway
yeah. I mean yeah that was the question :/But the question is did they have any left =)

Oh you do crack me up, good work!

Re: Paradox
Just had the last of my wash and I've gotta say... I've changed my mind about this stuff. I've definitely had good batches before and must've misjudged it this time because there really isn't any notable taste or effect to it. Shame
Off is the new on
Re: Paradox
Shit, I would really try again a space cake.
Cause first I feel nothing, but I was smoking a lot !

And does it fucking kick in. I was getting the Thalys back to Brussels for the Eurostar to London and ended up paying for a flight back from Paris.billyriz wrote:Normally takes 45mins to 1hr for the space cake to kick inLoofimax wrote:Shit, I would really try again a space cake.
