All the highly respected members here probably havent seen the stuff because they go to good shops, but believe me is it in Dam. Basically the stuff bound for export (ie grit) does end up in the unsuspecting shop owners hands.

again as you obviously didn't read what I wrote, shaking buds destroys them - FACT - the government health warning was over things being added is to add weight, they're probably cut early and then sprayed with whatever but I can guarantee you shaking the buds then adding stuff after is a myth.

Dont want to argue, this does happen - 100per cent fact - but perhaps on a small scale.

No offence taken at all mate, I dont grow, I dont have massive amounts of knowledge, but have seen this happen first hand - it may of be an isolated incident.

The issue is issue 6, 2009, page 68 - download the pdf. very interesting, atlhough most of it is public knowledge already.

Also a good article in the current issue, page 15 - must read for all members in the uk that take a erm.. active approach toward cannabis.

ive seen a programe twice where it was said that powdered glass was sprayed over buds to increase their weight ,,but never heard of it in the dam,,,,shite weed in the dam ,,yes,,think bulldog,grasshopper,paradise etc

ok, i would personally go one step further, and say that it happens at a number of shops, not just the very worse.

Also had a very interesting chat with the owner of old amsterdam a while back, who said he is constantly being approached with this stuff - he has a microscope, and knows his shit, so he doesnt buy it.

How would the hash-smoking old school coffeeshop owner know any better? Especially when this gets sold at c 2500 a ki....

Also, where do you think the contaminated stuff in the UK comes from - do you see this on UK strains? my guess is no.....

I imagine its the 'dutch' that u buy in the UK that is messed with

Most of this weed is in the Uk, and as i said before i would be very surprissed to see this weed in the Dam coffeeshops, i have been visiting the Dam since 88 and have visited endless shops all over the country and as said before have never seen or come across said weed from any coffeeshops, and yes i have been in more than my fair share of shit shops to. I have smoked planty of W/W and never come across a contaminated bud

This weed is mostly with the street dealers all over the world, and if you have bought this bud why buy it in the first place if you knew it was contaminated?

The way I read it that may of happened between 2000 & 2005, I was dealing during that period and at times selling about a key a week and I can honestly say I never saw any contaminated herb, soap bar a plenty yes but nothing that had been tumbled and then sprayed, I do remember a few years back there was this issue with weed that had glass added to it for extra weight http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4907.html but by that time I was growing and had stopped dealing so I've never seen that either.

I like Soft Secrets but a lot of what they say is hearsay, imho.

Yep - thinks were terrible 2004/5 ish - im really suprised you didnt come across it then..... I remember the summer were u couldnt get anything else... but perhaps thats just shit contacts!

This stuff was unsmokable, horrid.

In my very personal opinion, I think that the market has evolved, which is now why you can smoke a full spliff of the stuff I personally think is contaminated - i.e certain ww - , and feel fine.

I think the contaminate itself these days is more subtle, and used in far smaller ratios, but is still there, and in dam coffeeshopss.

On the other hand, I completely understand why u disagree as you have been lucky enough not to encounter this stuff.

The proofs in the pudding, so I'll shut up until I get some pics uploaded!
