Bilbo Baggins wrote:Thats an interesting street cam link you got in your sig there adamster--ive been kind of watching it for a while--and its a mystery to me that there are any Amsterdammers still left alive----this lot seem to think its cool to just walk out in front of any car and assume that the car will stop----and the car drivers just accept it---if that was good ol blighty the road rage would kick in, yet the car just stop and let the people walk on--seemingly oblivious to any danger

yeah the Cam is a cool thing too watch ( 4/20 at 420pm 1620hours « amsterdam time youll see 100's of ppl hoping the cop dont show up^)
i know it amazing how car Drivers dont get road rage « here if someone jump in front of a car good chance you getting killed or Driver come out of car wit corwbar then killing you « the Real F..Up thing is getting pulled over by cop when on a bike during a crack down during rush hour« they hind then jump infront of you bike (just like they do on the roads)saying your goin over the limit or lights not on or working ending up getting a speeding or some other Cycling ticket ;)

Thanks for your posts all---And ty for the link to the menu page twitch--hey thing about those menus is they all look good--each one better than the next.

I find myself paying closer attention to the hash menus as I'm a hash smoker of authority but dont really know too much about weed to be honest----thing is about weed, and maybe its just a personal thing with me , is that you smoke weed for a couple of nights and its great--stronger and nicer than most hash stones you get these days--then the third day it dosnt really have the same effect--tolerence kicks in and its not as wild as it first was---hash however dosnt seem to fade in its effects and is as good each time for however long you smoke it.

Also I distrust shops which sell weed brands named after themselves--eg I see piccasso CS has a weed just named PICasso--hmmmmm what is this---I'm sure it was something else before picasso decided to name it picasso

By the time I get out there I will have probably been weed free for a couple of months--due to random testing at my work I dont tempt fate by smoking regularly but confine my smoking to 3 or 4 ''binges '' a year---My trip to Amsterdam in june being one of them. so I'm a bit concerned tthat I'm not knowledgeable enough to distinguish between merely good and excellent---My body will be so devoid of THC by the time I get out there that one average quality joint will likely leave me a gibbering wreck

I also prefer CS that weigh the weed out in front of you--so I'll be preffering those ones--anyway guys keep posting---I dont know how the usual forum thing works--but this is my thread right--and I'll just keep it rolling along till its time to go--that way all this usfull info is all in the one place---ty guys ( And ladies )

Hey I just read Embramans report where he states his good lady is a bit fussy and toilet cleanliness etc and comfy seats, I,ve got the same problem with my fussy partner---so taking all things into considerarion what is a real decent coffeeshop which will not convey a tacky vibe ? nice seats, clean toilets, etc

Embraman reckons Amnesia is better than most

Someone else i read says theres one called Papillon which is a bit wine barish

If you had to impress a classy chick ( As I sincerely declare my good wife to be ) where would you show her a good time ?

Ok guys---I'm not that used to working out grams and quantities---how many decent J's do you get out of a gram ?---Maybe 2---I dont know---not really had much experience of weed as compared to hash-----I'm trying to figure out how much weed I will have to buy on a daily basis to keep me ticking over assuming I get stoned both in afternoon and again in the evening---how many grams of weed do you buy in a day ?

Bilbo Baggins wrote:Next As I'm taking the wife I dont want to be caught up the the red light scene at all ( Not that I would if I was alone ) so I guess i must inquire politely---Is Amsterdam full of perverts ? or is it possible to spend a holiday there without this seedy side of the city being noticed too much ?
Don't worry... Amsterdam has much more to offer than just the redlight scene.

Push through the wall of neon signs around Central Station and you'll find the real Amsterdam, which is not seedy at all. Its actually one of the most beautiful and relaxed cities in western europe.

Much obliged Embraman, I know you have been to Amsterdam 40 times or something like that so please feel free to chip in with any recommendations--much appreciated

FenixNYC recently did a trip report with some fantastic pics of his visit, and one in particular jumped out at me its a hash from Basjoes called Himalayan--heres the pic with thanks to FenixNYC

Image

Could anyone tell me if they have tried this hash, is it a regular part of Basjoes menu and is it any good, in appearance alone it is fantastic

To be honest mate, were stuck in a bit of a routine now of visting fave places.Amnesia or Abraxas for a morning smoke,shopping/strolling around then Green Place/Club Media after lunch.More shopping(Embralady)and strolling before a last afternoon blast somewhere then a rest/freshen up at the hotel.Getto for dinner then up to Nes to finish the night :D ,topping up supplies on the way at Hunters or Greenhouse(starting to go off here though, getting a bit "mcdonalds ").Always try to find/check out places as we go though, thats half the fun and first time there, you WILL get lost  No worries,a nice bar or coffeeshop is never far away and some of the little hidden local place's are great ,we like to get round the Jordaan or down to the Pijp area,we love just wandering around kind of aimlessly with a loose list of things/places to go,that would be my advice(even though i know the place better than Embra)Peace, look forward to your report Bilbo, agree that hash looks lovely,i like weed in Dam but there are some amazing hashes too,its just i never get good weed here so cant resist all the weed strains.Happy Smoking
