Just checked that Wok to Walk website, looks like really good munchie food :D

It's also very close to where i'll be looking for some weed on our late-arriving first night, so should be perfect. Extra kudos from the missus too, since she loves her Chinese food

No problemo Glas! :D

Now just so we're clear here... Yes, I really like Wok 2 Walk. And yes, I guess it is kinda healthy... And ok, it has rather less meat content than I am generally accustomed to, but hey - everyone has their little lapses.

Burger Bar - perfection.

VleminckX Frites - this place is where good potatoes go when they die - mmmm... Carbohydrate Heaven! :P

And there we have it. All the best food groups are covered.

Correction: Deep-fry a couple of Mars Bars (or Twinkies for our cousins over the water) and then you have all your bases covered.

But let's never forget the late-night fumblings at the steamy windows on Oudezijds Voorburgwal in the glowing-red heart of the RLD... Yes, the wonders of Febo. That lucky dip of secret ingredients hiding behind their own little windows...

It's hard to really declare them accurately as part of your "five-a-day", as you could never really be sure what's contained inside those deepfried breadcrumb caskets. Animal? Vegetable? Mineral?!? Who cares when they taste that good.

BURGER BAR!

There's nothing quite like it!

Having just come back this weekend from Amsterdam, I can honestly say this is the best burger I have had in my life.

Hands down. No contest.
This IS the best.

I had the Black Angus with cheese and bacon - the first night a 200g, then the next day, a 250g.

I would have gone for a Wagyu, but I was scared it might be SO good that I couldn't face the others after this...

Now it isn't the cheapest that Amsterdam has to offer - when you add fries and a drink to that burger, suddenly you're looking at €12 or thereabouts, but it is seriously worth it.

Best burger I've had. I'd rather stop in Amsterdam and have one of these than take a trip to Haarlem for Wilma & Alberts - now I know that's a controversial statement for some people, but this defies belief. Now I can understand why there are queues outside this place. It's the bomb.

Next trip in a couple of months, I will have the Wagyu, and if I have time I will try the "normal" Irish Beef as well, but seriously folks, if you're over there now - make your way there now! Eat at the golden altar of all things beefy!

Here is a munchy that I like that you can get at AH. There is a rack at the end of one of the aisles that has about 6 to 10 shelves of packaged Licorice. The Dutch are known for their licorice products and these are the best I have had. The brand is VENCO Dropmakers. It will say in the middle of the bag, DROP TOEFJES. The bag is black, orange and green. Right under the word, Dropmakers, the variety is listed, and there are many varieties of licorice in small bags. The variety that I like will say, Zacht Zoet, which means Soft and Sweet. This is gourmet licorice. Give it a try and let me hear your opinion of it. Enjoy!

sometimes yes and sometimes no
you really have to know ur stuff and know ur dealer
BUT prices can be awesome if u know the right people
you can get a coin (the length from ur thumb to 1st finger if you make an L shape) of really decent stuff for about 120 LE which is around 30 dollars.
BUT right now there is NO hash in egypt
in fact its a hash crisis
