Amsterdam trip report March 2010

Well another trip was needed and I wanted it to be a day longer this time, so a four dayer it was.

Same route as last time Harwich to Hook of Holland, Train tickets and meals on board for £180.00 for me and the wife.

Came out on Central station about 10.00 am Friday the 19.03.10, cloudy and rainy which made the theme for the weather until we were leaving, .

Dropped cases at Orange Tulip (easytobook.com) no problem friendly, cheap, central that’s all you would really say about it, but I aint planning on spending much time here!!.

Straight off to Hunters for about 10.30 am as I had read about the 100% Sativa, I went for it at 16 e for 1 g, could not liken it to any real taste although my Sativa knowledge is possibly not as good as my Indica knowledge as you seem to find more Indica strains I have found, anyway I am ranting,(note to self don’t smoke as much cheese when writing its took an hour so far!!), the smell was good the high was exactly that, high, really clear energy stone if you know what I mean, but man you know what ya first smoke of day is like especially in the Dam.

After a couple of hour’s walked over to Fredirics for bikes 30 e for 2 days, this was in hope the rain would stop, but with rain getting a bit keener now we got the bikes we hit Prix Dami, I have always liked the pool here the weed is hit and miss though I find, the service I have always found to be o.k and the new refurb is really good, I have seen comments on it saying how shit it was, it was like a youth club from 1985!! etc but now cream seating everywhere nice fresh cut flowers on each table nice low table played pool and got some of their Super Silver Haze for 13 e for 1 g, I was feeling a bit tired by the way at this stage I had not slept on boat all night ( I never do) that dint help but the stone feel off it felt real subdued, had a nice hazey taste.

Stayed until about 3.30pm then went back to hotel to freshen up we will call it, to keep this polite my wife will read this!!.
About 5.30pm arrived at 420 Café, on foot I might at add cause the rain was so bad we dint feel like going too far, went for White Widow 8 e for 1 g, very nice real nice this, my missus noticed it made my speech slurry!!, it was the best looking nuggets of WW I have seen for a while and the best looking bud of trip so far just looked perfect if you know what I am trying to say good leaf to bud ratio etc anyway upto 420 normal high standard, good service and friendly here , I have never had a problem here but we fancied a bit more pool, still raining so dashed to Prix Dami, did not buy smoked rest of White Widow played pool and chilled until about 8.00 pm then took the walk to Bluebird another of my Favourites.

Purchased some Super Lemon Haze which was very nice I love Bluebird very consistent very lemony taste it was 12.50 e per 1 g it was very dry bud the taste and high were good I would say it was better then the Super Silver Haze from Prix Dami also got some Tbisla xxxx for 12.50 per 0.5 g.

Now the Tbisla really was real nice bubble hash, they had three types of bubble on the menu this was the middle one and it was good, reading my notes back and trying to make sense typing this to give you some undersatnding, they read “ hit like hammer” to coin one of the phrases I used, this was my biggest hit of thc since being here.

Some time about 10.30pm arrived at Rookery after eating somewhere along route, did not buy just smoked some of what we had and chilled for the rest of the night.

After Breakfast dropped in Katsu at about 12.00 pm went for Amnesia Haze 20 e for 2.2g, a real nice smoke possibly the best or second best weed so far, really smelly and it blew the Super Silver Haze out of the water, nice budtender and I think a fair few locals.

After this went to Homegrown Fantasy for the UK Cheese, it is the only U.K Cheese I could find on this trip. The smell when she opened the tub, well firstly it reminded me of home cause U.K is my main weed I have at home but it just filled the air, all over the other lovely aromas in that place ,it was like so deep and dark yet so exciting and inviting, well I was having some of that I tell you. They were very busy, same staff as last visit, polite enough 12.50 e for 1 g smoked lovely best tasting weed of the trip imo. About 5.00 pm hit Sibirie did not buy as I still had a bit and was going over to Hunters again for more Sativa so went there my timings a bit off here I was getting real stoned, in a good way I might add a very good way but my note keeping went a bit down hill.

Sometime that evening at Hunters got the Sativa again, it was the same bloody awesome high although I was that stoned it still nudged me up a level, I felt sharp again like a 2nd wind!!. We somehow left here passed Homegrown again which I cant for the life of me work out, I could not resist another g of the U.K Cheese then over to Popeyes, had it last time I was here, its his Sugar THC kept in the fridge, crazy price, I know but its unlike anything I ever smoke, I have made my own bubble from good bud, but this stuff just rocks you, I don’t know how it is made but it is about time I tried to learn, it is almost trippy and god so damm giggly, I only smoke my bubble at weekends I think this is real treat stuff cause if I smoked this too often I would be a mess in no time it was 30 e 0.5 g, it finished the night in the best way possible.

Now Sunday morning made 3 stops without buying, Babas, speak Easy and De Kroon, none of them minded me just buying a drink and smoking what I had so chilled as wife was off shopping about 1.00 pm went into Betty Boop had some Chocolope for 12 e for 1 g, I like Chocolope and this was spot on, very quiet in here I was the only customer in 1.5 hr but it was a Sunday.

Later that day we done a few bits then we hit 420 Café as wife don’t really smoke much got a space cake, now we sat for 2 hrs and it did not do much I know I was well gone but wife was straight but I think we shared it and it was silly as not big enough for two, it was 4 e I had seen Haze cake elsewhere for 8 e so cheap really I suppose.

Now we left and headed over to Homegrown to get more Cheese to smoke whislt playing pool. Picked Prix Dami again as I get a bit para when there is only one pool table as everyone just seems to sit and look at that one table and they have loads at Prix Dami so you don’t get that problem as there is a few tables and they stoners are para ha!!, anyway needed a bit more of the Sugar THC from Popeyes, as everything felt so weak compared to it now, so about 10.45 pm hit Popeyes he laughed that we were back as we left in such a state last night, now cash was getting a bit tight so I just had 20 e worth this time, I now knew how much or should I say how little you need of it. This was possibly the highest I had been in my life honestly I was a slurring giggling mess and my wife was also in a bit of a condition, now you know when you do something the second time it aint as good?, this was not one of them, this was a repeat of how high I was last night and the environment and the company of my good supportive wife, it was a very good day lets say that, conscious of it being your last night in Dam you want it to be good and it really was a laugh a minute at the most stupid of things.

On Monday the final day got up quite early sat in De Kroon but the seating is very uncomfortable in there so went back to my favourite pool haunt you guessed it Prix Dami did not play pool funny enough got some Sakuda 13 e for 1 g nothing to write home about I did say their weed is hit and miss, I would say the hit was o.k but the smell and taste were, well indescribable is what I would say also got White Widow 7 e for 1 g that was not as good the WW from 420 Café nor would I say it was even WW but 1 e cheaper, it was to be the weed I smoked just as I get on boat from Hook to Harwich, after this it was about 11.00 am it was time to get train and leave to summarise this trip I would say its been very wet, constant in fact but another goodun, leaving me with the same question as always, god how my life would be perfect if I had a coffeeshop to go to at home cause it makes me like a recluse being a grower/smoker, no one who knows me know I grow, I basically smoke alone and I love the social element I go to my local pub but they are all taking a really destructive drug that is freaking allowed (alcohol) and I all I want is a smoke at the end of a days work, anyway I can go on dreaming. Oh and if you are going and you only were gonna buy one thing I would go for the U.K Cheese from Homegrown.
Thanks for reading, I hope it helps someone about to make a trip and I hope it did not go off track too much.

Peace to all

Nice report, just 1 thing the Cheese at HGF isn't 100% UK Cheese it's their own back crossed version crossed with an Afghan.

Enjoyed your report -- I'll need to try this cheese stuff --we/I dont really get much named brands in this neck of the woods --usually just a bag of bud with no title -- still you put yourself about a bit, cycled around, pity about the weather, and also you had a good word to say about a lot of shops that dont usually get mentioned much--wp
