BBQ'ing in Vondelpark?

Post by indk »

I'm up a stupid hour trawling the interwebs yet again & came across a post on Hipforums regarding BBQ'ing in V'park. Sounds like an ideal way to spend an afternoon in the sun with a few tins & cheeky smokes.

So, anyone done it before? Or is it not such a good idea? I don't fancy causing a scene or anything over a few burgers etc :P

p.s. I'd use a heatmat/stones to stop any scorching of the grass (unless we put it on top of a bed of weed 8) )

It's no problem, everyone does it. We did it almost every weekend last summer - either ourselves, or attended the weekly Saturday BBQ that's run during the summer (€14 for all you can eat and drink all day!) by, I think, some of the staff from the Ultimate Party Pub Crawl (not sure about that).

So yeah, it's totally standard for Vondelpark. Light up - whatever you want - and enjoy!

And most of the other large parks as well, Sarphatipark Park is better as they have tables (limited) and it is not so busy:-)

Thanks for that man, nice to be reassured that it's considered a norm'. Can't wait now, just hope the weather holds up :P

Sweet dude, I'll check that out as there's a CS or two around that area I'd like to visit.

Thanks for the responses guys,
