Bad day at work, my apologies... I should be more chillSacred Clown wrote:...it was a joke.
[i.e whenever i went to Barneys in the 90s all the tables would be packed solid with Canadians dressed like the MacKenzie Brothers with rucksacks. the clue was the little flag they always wear. In a similar fashion The Bulldog chain was always full of Brits]

Even tho Ive only got one trip under my belt my fave of that trip was Basjoes I felt more relaxed there that the others--although Rookies was nice when I was in---I'd give my vote to Basjoes if it was on the poll

Well I have not been to most of those on that list but out of the ones I have been to I would have to say De Kuil(420). It was the first shop I went into on my first visit, and well as a first timer you can feel somewhat overwhelmed by everything but here it was very easy and welcoming, it was just starting to get busy but i found the people there very nice and the prices quite good too. It was a simple atmosphere really but it was just what i was after as an introduction to the 'Dam.
It is definitely on my list for the next visit and a good added bonus is there are some very nice bakery's and food very close by that I can offload the wife and kid at for while I duck in to stock up.

Its very interesting to see how the favourite coffeeshops are in a slight change over the months.
At the moment Basjoe and De Graal seem to get the most big ups, before that I remember to see shops like Katsu, Boerejongens or Mellow Yellow at the top of interest.
There a just a few shops that hold their place over years, like Dampkring, GA or Amnesia.
Lets see who gets future attention...
