The Grey Area was my favorite. i dont remember the music, but i do remember the weed was top notch and the people were super friendly. went in for a quickie on our way to do some touristy crap and stayed for like 2 hrs talking and smoking with the other people in the place.

I visited this shop on the last day of my most recent trip to Amsterdam.
The dude behind the counter suggested I try the big budda, which I did. Best puff I have had in a long time. Their menu is vast with at least 4 types of Isolator all very expensive, but I will purchase some for research on my next visit.
On checking the map there is no mention of HUNTERS which is a supprise as it is a very good coffee shop, that sells high quality dope.

used to avoid this shop because of commercialism. i'm glad i went back. nice, upstanding place.

Papillon is one of my top five too. vive la france!

Papillon and Katsu should be added to the selection imho.

btw the Pijp is amsterdams best with Katsu, Papillon, de Graal, Ocean, cafe loetje, burgermeester... I just love this area.

Grey area is my favorite shop for gear but Amnesia is my favorite spot to chill and smoke out so I voted Amnesia...

De Kuil overall but they are all so different that's the beauty of Amsterdam so many different choices. Just like the weed, endless options all offering something a little bit different. So for the most part I love em all just for being establishments that I can smoke in freely in public!

Well my favorite coffeeshops definitely are in De Pijp too..! from De Graal to Katsu, and Papillon.
I also love Green Place.
