Close Between Amesia and GreenHouse Effect. Both are good at what they do.

After much soul searching, I put down deKuil cause that seems to be the one I've gone to most often my last coupla trips, so it must be my fave.

Also where I seem to meet the most interesting peoples, who were, like me, mostly harmless.

But Rokerij (esp. all 4) & Greenhouse would be close 2nds.
& Abraxas, but I tend to go there as much for the "free" internet. But good drinks & ambience.
I'm surprised Dampkring rates so high -- I like it, I just find it hard to get a seat. That's it's main drawback, IMHO.

Interesting how this poll is in its differences and similarities to:
http://forum.channels.nl/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=13752

& to compare later poll tallies w/ the current one, as of 2/13/06 & 81 votes the results are:

Grey Area 16%
Amnesia 13%

Dampkring 7%
Homegrown F 7%
Abraxas 6%
Pink Floyd 6%
(Umma Gumma)

Barney's 4%
de Kuil 420 Cafe 4%
Dolphins 4%
GreenhouseEf 4%
Rokerij (all 4) 4%
Bluebird 3%
Old Church 3%
Tweede Kam 3%
Coffeeshop 36 2%
Greenhouse(all 3) 2%
Paradox 2%

Noon, Central , Rookies 0

coffeeshops outside A'dam.

1. Tweede Kamer - I've discovered a wee gem here!

and then this lot in no particular order...

Amnesia (Sour Diesel and Manali Cream)
Greenhouse Effect (Sage)
De Kuil (for Super Silver Haze)
Nes-Cafe (for their Weed menu)
Bushdoctor

I've only visited Oude Kerk, Dampkring, Tweede Kamer and one of the Rokerij shops so far, but from those, Tweede Kamer is my absolute favourite, with the Oude Kerk and Dampkring in tie for second place. I simply love the Tweede Kamer, great selection of weed and an overall relaxed atmosphere, although that might have been because of the time of day we visited. There weren't a lot of people there, which I like because I'm a bit claustrophobic and I don't like crowded places.

Amnesia is my bread and butter baby... best smoke and selection I came across after half a year living in the dam.

I am gonna change my vote from noon to Dampkring. Because of the fact i had never visited Dampkring before. I went early afternoon and found the place a cool chilled out place with Powerplant the best smoke of my visit.

Peace.

Really liked Nes,but stayed across canal from Amnesia so spent a lot of my time there. Real toss up as both have good weed/hash menues, but #1 on my list of the many, many thigs I tried on visit this month was SuperSilverHaze. from Nes. Purchased on DC's recommendation and will always take his advise while int the Dam,whereas the folks at Amnesia gave me this big rap about there " MuffinMan" space muffin that I ate almost 2 of them in airport b4 leaving at was very, very disapointed. :x

I voted Pink Floyd as my favourite shop. I can understand how others entered the fray but Pink Floyd is internationally friendly. Grey Area seems more for the USA members.

Amnesia is the bollocks!

It's the best place I've been to so far, the weed is wicked and drinks are good as well as the seating, plus the dealer guy just pulls out all the tubs of weed and lets you have a sniff too.

Grey area is also good, but it's too small and the last weed i got weren't as good as Amnesia either, I got AK-47 and some grey mist crystal which was surprisingly mild, I was expecting it to knock my socks off.

Umma Gumma is the place you can chill at for hours though, i didn't want to leave!

Amnesia. Location. Outside seating. Great low-key decor. Comfy.

I voted for Amnesia too, but would've voted for Rastababy if it had been on the list, followed by: 2. Amnesia; 3. Noon; 4. Rusland/Het Ballontje (sister shops); 5. Regine (Haarlem); 6. Skunk (Sittard); 7. Media; 8. Central; 9. Old Church; 10. Softland.

Then again, I haven't been to them all, so that list is always fluid, pending future experiences!
