Indeed, it were the commonwealth forces that liberated most parts of The Netherlands. What I don't get though, is that a lot of Americans like to brag about what their grandfathers did in the past. Why is fighting in a war something to brag about?
The American imperial warmachine has made a lot of unnecessairy casualties and that is probably the reason why more and more western people are starting to dislike the United States.
Oh and I wouldn't call it 'Save the netherlands' ass'; a LOT of people were happy with National Socialism, but just because it didn't fit in with the American idea of a hyperdemocraty it was torn down.

But ofcourse you are right; rude people come in all shapes and colours, but I have just found the Americans the loudest ones. Don't get me wrong, I have met a lot of Americans -mostly from the North- that I really liked. But tt is just like the average american feels superior towards us; don't you guys have a word for europeans? Something like eurotrash?

There is too much generalizing going on here IMO, not all americans are loud and rude, not all europeans are "eurotrash". we are just throwing around sterotypes. it comes down to personality, if someones a prick, they can be a prick from any country.

americans dont like to brag about war, we just get upset when people rip us that are from countries whos asses we did truly save, directly or indirectly. america is hated so much, but people risk life and limb and freedom to get here, i wonder why that is? is there something good about america? i guess so.

the truth is there are many groups responsible for the allied victory in europe, local resistance, international armies, even individual people who made decisions, and the credit should spread wide because no one group could have done it by themselves.

peace

Opted for Tweede Kamer only because I didn't see Basjoe on the list. On the last two visits to Basjoe I found the brothers really nice and helpful and the only drawback was the construction that going on outside. Do you think we can leave out the anti-American nonsense? This is ACD, not Channels.

I agree on most points, nirvana.

America is known as the country with the endless opportunities, but still there is a lot of injustice going on (black vs white for example).

smokestaxlitenin, I already thought you would reply like that. Read a random history book about the second world war and you will see how big the support for him was in ALL countries.

And why the hell would I say the holocaust didn't happen? That's sheer bullshit, I dont get the connection you see between me and revisionism.
