1 month from my first trip to Amsterdam!

Post by White Moses »

I'm excited. I don't smoke a whole lot anymore (though I am holding some pretty decent smoke right now) so am just looking for some nice tasting buds that are not that overpowering and some cool places to smoke. I have found so much helpful info here I would have been lost without it.

I'm staying close to Barney's Lounge so I think that will be my first stop.
I am excited about Paradox because of the 5 euro bags. I will not go through a lot, so I want to try a few different bags. My plan is to get a nice Sativa from Barney's and try the LA Confidential, Cheese and Chocolope from Paradox and then take it from there. I will probably try to grab a hash that has a nice, but not too strong sativa high.

I suspect from all the positive talk on the vaporizers that they do not take away from the taste of the weed right? I am looking more for really good tasting smoke, I'm not worried about potency so much. Maybe I should try the NYCD as well.

I can't wait to eat those fries you guys talk about and to soak in as much of Amsterdam as I can. I will be there for a week so I should have plenty of time to see the whole city.

Peace and Love

They certainly don't take any flavor away from the weed, but I would caution you that the "smoke" tastes more like steam vapor than anything else, making it extremely accessible to non-smokers.

Have fun dude. Yer excitement is contagious. :)

Be sure to try one of the "Verdamper" vaporisors at Anyday, LaTurtila, or Katsu. These things seem to enhance the flavor of a nice weed. Chocolope would be a good choice for optimum taste, and it's available all over town. Enjoy your trip, you will love it.

The Red Cherry Berry from Barney's in the Volcano they have is a nice smoke. If you after 5E deals, make the trip out to de Pijp. It's maybe a 15 - 20 minute walk from Barney's Lounge. Try the Verdamper there as Cal X suggested. Maybe get the Strawberry Kush that Puffin13 spoke of. On the way their or back, take a stroll through the Albert Cuypmarkt. You could also make a detour to the Heineken Museum, if that's your sort of thing.

Peace,
Balou

Have a great trip man, it's a nice part of town down by barney's lounge.
I agree with calx on the subject of verdampers, and the 3 shops he mentioned are must visit stops.
Last time i was in barney's lounge they had hawaiian snow and honey b for 13e/g, both sativa. Only tried the honey b, it looked and smelt great but the effect was mixed in with so much else it's hard to comment. Nice shop though, especially if it's sunny and you get the seats out front.

Enjoy your first trip, man. I was you at this time last year, counting down the days until my first Amsterdam excursion and this board saved my life, as well as many, many Euro I would've spent in lower quality coffeeshops.

Take heed to what people around here suggest and simply put your own agenda together based off that info. It's what I did and I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip down to the last second and anticipate this second one, and most likely last ever trip to XXX, to be even more prolific due to another's year worth of studying the board.

Have fun and toke well!

Thanks for all the suggestions, it is very helpful. I was planning on being in the de Pijp area my first full day there. I was going to take in the Rijksmuseum as well as the Van
Gough and hit the Albert Cuyp on the way back. What shops were you referring to that have 5 Euro deals around there?

I would be up for a toke and talk hopefully I can catch up with some of you folks then.
