Did you guys smoke in your room, did you ask for a smoking room ?

Stayed here in November for a few nights. Nice hotel in a great location. Only problem I had was at checkout. They said I used 20E worth of stuff from the minibar. I refused to sign it and have not heard anything else.

The third floor is smoking and I had no problems toking.
Balcony ?
A few of the room do have balconies. It is 30E a night extra for the upgrade.
What coffeeshops did you find close by ?
Closest shops are Rookies, Dolphins, Rockerij, Easy Times and Tweedy.
Peace,
Balou

I just found out I'll be staying here next April. Near as I can tell, I need to take the #1 tram to get to the stop right in front of the hotel. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks.

Thanks, Iko. I could've sworn that when we went to Rijk's last year that we took the #5, and it turned left at Stadhourderskade which would mean we'd have to double back a little to get to the hotel. Then again, I was pretty blazed most of the time, so who the hell knows? lol.
I'm looking forward to your review.

Nice hotel, good location.
Got a really big room ( european wise ) with TWO balconies.
Also an extreme dual headed shower head that was very powerful and i ended up using it atleast twice a day LOL.
Very comfy bed with choice of 4 different pillow styles.

Balconies are on 5th floor, they are non smoking rooms.
But there were seemingly no issues smoking on the balcony even though we were " caught " , story to follow in my report

lol.

Booked this hotel for my upcoming trip im staying 3 nights. im paying £50/night priceline nyop.
I arrive late friday night wanna check in and then hit the coffeeshops before they close. what is the fastest way to get to the hotel from schiphol? Bus from schiphol or train to central station and then tram to leidseplein/stadhouderskade?
Seems like Tweedy is the 'local' coffeeshop. Opening hours?

Do you know how much a taxi costs from schiphol to the hotel? Do they drive with a taximeter or do you have to negotiate a price?
