Flights cancelled from UK airports!
Can you link the bbc article then?
I did read they said it was unlikely to improve in the foresable future but the met office has history of not predicting anything correctly.
NATS even said they will monitor it all evening and will issue guidelines for support for up until 13:00 Friday.
My flight isn't until 16:45 so hopefully it will have cleared by then. If not will just have to move it to next weekend.

The UK's air traffic control service (Nats) said no flights would be allowed in UK airspace until at least 0700 BST on Friday amid fears of engine damage.
Fingers crossed for anyone thats due to fly.Nats suggested that the restrictions were unlikely to be lifted after 0700, saying saying it was "very unlikely that the situation over England will improve in the foreseeable future".
Being pedantic and knobbish since 1972
Sure, no problem.

I hope your flight doesn't get cancelled. Same goes to everybody flying this weekend. The whole situation is a rotter.

You should be ok by Monday mate.Twichaldinho wrote:Sure, be prepared.spidergawd wrote: (but can I still keep plan B)
I have no plan B, Karma is my only hope![]()
At least in my case, I dont fly till Monday, so a long windy weekend should blow that sheeite out the airways, allowing us to breeze over with ease.
I will see ya on Monday
Plan B for me is to just move it to next weekend instead.
