link me to the forum....
It's probably bullshit then. NATS are doing live updates to Sky every few hours and they said not half an hour ago that they will be reviewing at 18:00.

No mate. I'm not linking you to another forum. I think you may want to re-read the bbc news site as it says that tomorrows flights are likely to be cancelled. It also says that UK airspace is definitely shutdown until 6am Friday morning at the earliest.

Can you link the bbc article then?
I did read they said it was unlikely to improve in the foresable future but the met office has history of not predicting anything correctly.
NATS even said they will monitor it all evening and will issue guidelines for support for up until 13:00 Friday.
My flight isn't until 16:45 so hopefully it will have cleared by then. If not will just have to move it to next weekend.

The UK's air traffic control service (Nats) said no flights would be allowed in UK airspace until at least 0700 BST on Friday amid fears of engine damage.
Nats suggested that the restrictions were unlikely to be lifted after 0700, saying saying it was "very unlikely that the situation over England will improve in the foreseeable future".
Fingers crossed for anyone thats due to fly.

Read the first paragraph after the headline
Air Ambulance.
Also the live news page:

I hope your flight doesn't get cancelled. Same goes to everybody flying this weekend. The whole situation is a rotter.

Just going to keep an eye on it, hopefully be sorted by Monday 19th, if not their have to refund my flight money, and a quick drive up to Harwich will be in order.
Fingers crossed. How many people were meant to be flying out today for 420?

Hope so mate. They are supposed to be reviewing it at 20:00 but they did say initially 18:00 tonight so 13 hours later it should have improved.
edit: Just listening to BBC World Service and they are saying the Volcano itself hasn't 'calmed down' so could erupt again.

I don't think it's gonna happen man they are all talking like it's going to several days before it's all cleared.
Gutted over here.

Sure, be prepared.
I have no plan B, Karma is my only hope
At least in my case, I dont fly till Monday, so a long windy weekend should blow that sheeite out the airways, allowing us to breeze over with ease.
I will see ya on Monday

420 smoked out by a volcano?. That's just too ironic. I'm with Mr inho on this one, bring forth the 'good' karma wagon!.
