I watched a program about this ash cloud on National Geographic recently.. god, it's just terrible. Apparently the volcano next to the one erupting is a lot bigger and angrier... :? Going by what's happened with that volcano in the past, the other one erupts not long after and if it does, the consequences will be catestrophic. No flights for months.. :(

It's really awful for the people that live there - it looks like hell. But yes, I know this sounds really selfish but I will be seriously FUCKED OFF if this ruins my trips to Berlin, Amsterdam and Florida - I've been looking forward to these for chuffin ages!!!

It could go on a lot longer than that - the last time that Eyjafjallajökull erupted back in 1821, it went on for 2 years!

Fortunately, the airspace was a wee bit emptier back then, so we didn't really notice too much....

Surely we wont have a north easternly wind for two bloody years though? :D

P.S. Dave, how many times did you attempt to spell the name o' that volcano?

Whoa ther USBL, Volcanos aint that bad... just plug it in and vape :D

quoted from the link above ""However, the scale of the eruption will be much smaller than the Eyjafjoell eruption and I do not think it would have the same effect on air travel as Eyjafjoell did," she said."

Hmmm... I aint worried in the slightest. Worst comes to worst - we'll just drive there I hope :)
