It's DEFINITELY worth it... actually thank you for reminding me as this was also a very impressive smoke. I don't like pre-bagged, but I make an exception for this one.

What are your dates going and coming for July? I know other people there that month.

Well...it's looking like July 23rd-26th for my bday, looking to make it number 8 in style, Katsu do pre-bagged? Fuck that son! Although I probably would make a purchase as i'm as curious as the proverbial cat.

You won't be disappointed, I promise. I'll be on a cruise to the islands in early July so I doubt I'll be in the dam, but being able to fly on a buddy pass you never know...

we shall wait and see. Should be a good trip, getting an appartment with damcribs, the one with the ample sized TV, might bring my laptop and portable hard drive for some late night smoke out/south park sessions; will also need my musique aswell.

Smoking some nice stuff now, some kinda lemon haze, deals could of been better though.

Sounds great about the apt. I tried the Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse, I think it was. It was okay, but not the best sativa of the trip. Oh I forgot the LA Confidential as a really good strain.

LA con is a fave of mine so I know all about that; I think the Apollo13 I got from GA was similiar also, but it's worth buying as it hits you rite in the balls/lady's top balls.

It's freaking gorgeous out there so I decided to surprise my daughter and stay on the beach tonight... she's a little beach bunny like her mama. A room in my favorite hotel on St Pete Beach for 117. a night on Mother's Day weekend? Too good to pass up - gonna be drinkin' a Pina Colada right on the beach in about an hour watching the waves - oh yeah.

Sunday April 18th:

Shopping day at Albert Cuyp market is planned along with stops at Mellow Yellow, Katsu, and Club Media. BB started out on her bike, but I was moving slowly due to my sciatic nerve and trammed it today (used to be a gymnast and it takes a toll on your body). Anyway, I come hobbling up to Dutch Flowers to meet hestia and BB looking ridiculous and tired from dealing with the pain. Not one to back down from anything, I trudged on with excruciating pain every step and hestia along side me saying "You're doin' great, honey" (I love that woman). Walked all the way to Mellow Yellow and had a feeling if I ate a spacecake it would help... and it did immensely! Only had one @ 3.50 euro, they were chocolate and very good. These are the best spacecakes for the money, imo. Bought a gram of S5 Haze after smelling some of the other stuff. I remember there was something I had on my list to try from here but after seeing, smelling, and comparing the two, I decided on the S5 Haze all the way. After the smoke, we all gave it a 9.5 EASILY - it was that good. Strong, uplifting sativa, very fresh, and smoked exceptionally smoothly. Had one of the most unique flavors and smells, something I really appreciate in a weed. Just can't say enough good things about this strain and well worth the 50 euro for 5 grams. Great 5 gram deal as well because 1 gram is 13 euro.

On to Albert Cuyp for the very first time. LOVED IT! We grabbed some fresh Stroopwaffels just made and still hot MMMMMMMMM sticky fingers galore but we didn't care... we were in munchie ecstasy. Needed a bigger dark brown leather purse and found just the perfect one that matched my jacket and boots for 30 euro (what a find!). That was all I needed and hestia & BB were all set as well, so we headed to Katsu for Black Widow. I had forgotten the stuff here was pre-bagged and I'm not fond of that at all, however, I make an exception for this and White Dolphin from Dolphins which is pre-bagged as well. This was one coffeeshop where we all got the same weed lol it was too funny. After smoking the Black Widow we decided it definitely deserved at least a 9.5. It was excellent and strong, felt the buzz for quite a while too... great longevity. This weed has never disappointed me yet and I'll always go back for more. In fact I was disappointed last year in my purchase there because I wanted to try something different... never again. I'll try something different again, but never pass up Black Widow.

We headed to Club Media and I bought over a gram of Hindu Kush - had that potent, 'Kushy' smell whilst covered in crystals, and only 9 euro for more than a gram. If you like a good Kush strain at a decent price, pick this one.

I think we went to Basjoe and hung out for awhile in here, then on to Nes. Got to the Nes and met Treetop who was sitting with DC. Treetop can't roll so DC was doing the rolling this night (sorry Treetop but you know it's true lol) DAYUM DC can roll a nice cone! I used to think Last Hamlet's were the best, then Blueberry's... now I've seen DC's. He skinned up some NYCD that Treetop had gotten from DeKuil (420) and stuck some of his own Cheese Ice O Lator. Dear God, thought my head was gonna blow off - VERY strong, in fact I believe my word was "WHOA!!!" That one cone kicked our asses, especially Treetop's

I don't usually drink, but on occasion it's relaxing. Decided to have a beer but didn't know which to pick. DC suggested Leffe Blonde(sp), which was a light beer but contained 8% alcohol - two of those later, I was having a good old time! Giggling away and couldn't stop, especially when DC rolled a cone of LA Confidential I had gotten from Basjoe, where he added some Silver Shiva Ice O Lator and I added what we named "Sticky Gooey Shit" that James had given me that had to be applied with a toothpick. Unbelievably strong and we got a double ass kickin'. Harsh as all get out though! Thought I was gonna cough up my uterus We sure loved our Sticky Gooey Shit and coupled with the other stuff... well, I'm sure you can guess I don't remember much except lots of laughter.

It was getting late, after closing time, and I had missed the last trams so Treetop walked me to my apartment to make sure I got there safe - thank you, Treetop, that was very kind of you. BB was asleep and I didn't want to wake her so poor Treetop couldn't skin one up - sorry about that, dude, hope you found a place at that hour.

BB woke up for a while after all because the apartment was about as big as my dining room. We smoked and had some great conversation before drifting off into Amsterdam dreams.

The S5 and Hindu Kush have been added to my list for July; where can I find this cheese ice-o-lator? that sounds like...well...heaven? It'd give me an orgasm probably anyway!

Monday, April 19th:

Scheduled meet up at the Green Place @ 1:00 pm and everyone was there: hestia, BB, SoulRider, Spidergawd, & Treetop who had bought a gram of Chocolope for 12 euro a gram which they were smoking when I arrived. It was tasty and we gave it a 7.5 but I'm not a Chocolope fan, so I bought a gram of Blueberry Cheese (gee what a surprise lol) and rolled up a combo of that and the Dr Grinspoon from Barney's I had gotten on the first day here. Couldn't believe the high this gave me... it was one you'd have to experience more than describe. It was uplifting from the 100% sativa (Dr Grinspoon), yet stoning from the BBC. One of my favorite combinations, but I doubt I'll buy the Dr Grinspoon again. Tried it and thought it was good, but too expensive @ 17 euro a gram for what you got. I'll substitute a different sativa next time, but mixing the strains for a different effect is fun to me on occasion... and can be quite potent. I have a friend in Cali who regularly mixes all his strains together because he's been smoking for many years every day and it's the only way he gets a buzz anymore.

We were supposed to be at HGF by 2:30 so off we went. I wasn't impressed with anything I saw or smelled in this shop but the Citral (a sativa) and Treetop beat me to buying some @ 10 euro a gram, so I figured I would try his since he planned to smoke it and make the decision afterward. Glad I waited - it was good but more of a daytime smoke... not overpowering or too strong, very light buzz actually. It had a nice, pungent smell but didn't live up to expectations. Nothing in here did, to be honest. Someone bought Amazing Haze that I had looked at but decided against because the smell wasn't there, once again glad I did - one of the worst smokes of the trip.

By this time we were all hungry so BB took off on her bike with plans to meet us later because she had grabbed something, while hestia, Spidergawd, Treetop and I started on our way to Paradox because we had to be there at 5:00 pm for the meet up, but making a stop to eat along the way. Found a nice little place called Next Door Restaurant and made a democratic decision to stay after reading the menu. I got the Ertwen Soup (pea soup with sausage and veggies), hestia got soup also, can't remember what Spidergawd got, Treetop got not one, but two big ass apple bacon pancakes. I was like "Dayum boy!!!!" In his defense, he's like 7 ft tall so he needs the fuel and the pancakes were like crepes, but they were almost bigger than the huge plate each came on. I almost asked for a bite because it looked so good, but figured it would be all I could do to finish what I had and he needed it more than me.

On to Paradox but had a little trouble finding it. You'd think since it was near the apartment BB and I shared, I would have known immediately. Nope, we were coming from the opposite direction and it took me a few minutes to get my bearings, but we eventually found it. Once again, nothing grabbed me by the boo boo. It seems Treetop and I have similar tastes in weed, only thing that looked and smelled interesting was the Amnesia Haze and the LA Confidential which he purchased lol got .04 grams of LA Confidential, .04 grams Of Amnesia Haze both @ 5 euro a piece and some Super Pollen Hash I hadn't looked at. They were decent smokes, but I can't honestly say the most memorable of the trip. I have to give credit to the people here... in customer service they get a 10! VERY friendly, unbelievably accommodating and kind. Treetop had borrowed my grinder whilst there and forgot it on the table, we had made it half a block when the man came running out to give it to us. That's what I call going out of your way for your customers, local or not. I will go back and give this shop business for that reason alone.

Headed to Basjoe for the meet up at 6:00, but knew I wasn't up to par after pushing it for almost a week here. Got to Basjoe and bought a gram each of LA Confidential and Bas Special. About that time I thought I had lost my scarf and was like "Oh NO can't be without that tonight!" James told me to go to the shop on the corner so off I went. Couldn't believe my luck, found the last cream colored Pashmina the store had and felt once again this was the most fortuitous trip ever. Back at Basjoe we're all smoking and having an enjoyable time (except for me being so freakin' tired). Went to the bathroom before deciding to call it an early evening and lo and behold what do I see lying on the floor where I must have dropped it when I came in? Yep, my cream colored scarf EEK on the bathroom floor! Oh well, I'll wash it but no way is it going near my face until said time. Glad I bought the new one and that I was going home to get some much needed rest. BB had her early night, hestia had her early night, and I still hadn't given in; gotta hit the wall for me to do that, unfortunately. Can't help pushing myself to the limit until I drop from exhaustion... it's just my personality and hey, it's Amsterdam!

Got back to the apartment and slept for hours until BB came in. We smoked, talked, and laughed as usual before going to bed... she's been a breath of fresh air for me as a roomie; thank you for just being you, chick. Had a lot of 'chick bonding' this trip and it rocked my world as usually there's tons of guys, but not many girls. This time was so different and I loved every second, especially when hestia would throw in her "hestiaisms" as I so aptly named them (actually I say her first name with 'isms' on the end but won't put her first name in here) which made me laugh so hard I'll never forget - right down to hearing her voice with them. She'd come out with stuff like "That's right - never step on another sister's dick" or "Treats you like a man - comes up and hits you right between the eyes" dayum that country woman can make me laugh.
