Crossing Borders.

Post by Trad »

An old friend and I are planning a RV trip through Germany, Holland, Belgium and France for early next April. We plan to visit as many WWI and WWII battle/monument/Canadian cemetery sites as possible in two weeks. I have found the best RV rental to be out of Germany and have been working a route from Dusseldorf. All the information I need is on-line except one important piece.....Crossing borders with weed/hash?

I like to smoke weed and my buddy likes his hash so, we would be picking-up the RV in Dusseldorf and heading through Holland and over towards Dunkerque.....loading up with smokables on the way.
Any info/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well its like anywhere Trad, it's not legal but just stash it well, if you've just got a few grams for personals you certainly wont find yourself in the slammer for it. I personally would carry it on myself, i.e. in my tobbaco pouch or just in my pocket, I wouldn't want them to dismantle a hired R.V. the insurance might not cover it :).
What a long strange trip it is.

Dude I'm french and I think you mustn't fuck with the french customs, in France cannabis is worse than devil (for the government) and french cops are all fuckin stupide assholes. They cant speak english so they quickly become angry with strangers if they dont understand you, so my advice will be to not cross belgium/france border with stuff

I figured that 2 gray-haired, old farts in a RV would not be prime suspects....?? 8) 8) 8)

No experience crossing borders in Europe, but I have found that hash travels more conspicuously than weed. My bag of Lindt truffles usually have a hash ball or two wrapped in empty wrappers and thrown back in with the rest. Good luck. As a history teacher, that trip sounds AMAZING!!!

I dont go with all this border police/customs are gestapo agents stuff. I've been around a bit and I'll tell you its all about attitude. You give it to these guys and you will get it back, thats mostly how it works. As for risk I do risk assesments every day at work. Zero risk = the job don't get done/you dont get a smoke.

:D I also an old fart

what borders.....?......i drive through Germany,Belgium,Netherlands and France all the time........they got rid of them years ago.......see the The Schengen Agreement the only place to worry is on the train between Belgium and France as this route is used to train custom officers from both countries. hope this puts your mind at rest....Peace 8)

Not only on the train, when I come back from Ams I see them quite often on the road. But I've forgotten Trad was an old stoner (no offense, I hope I'll be like him ^^) so he may pass through

MikeD....Going to follow the Canadians from the beaches of Normandy to the Rhine and finish the trip with a tour of Berchtesgaden.
Two weeks to celibrate my 60th....would be a shame not to have a puff or two.
Thanks for all the input.
