thanks. I wanted to do lettuce too but the rabbits eat it so I dont want to waste my time and money on it. Will just have to keep buying lettuce at the farmers market.

Happy Earth DayTo All!

Thanks Cattales for starting this subject. Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Your garden sounds great. My 14 year old planted lots of garlic last fall so I have to be real careful about where the "special plants" go. We have lots of bunnies too, they are eating my beautiful lillies that are just emerging.

We are putting up some veggies in pots on the deck so those wascally wabbits have to work for their supper.

GET OUT & PLANT SOMETHING TODAY!
(and if you can't, smoke something instead :D )
Could we ever feel much finer?

gixxer. It was started about 20 yrs ago by some earth loving hippies I think and its just a day set aside for everyone to remember our earth is valuable and we need to take care of it. All you need to do is plant something even if it is a special plant. Thanks Deb for the nice comments. good luck with your garden too. I did think about doing like a box garden near the house for lettuce so I can watch them wascly wabbits. lol

Happy earth day to you too Cat. I shall be a day late but my Mum brought us round some plants at the weekend so I shall put them in tomorrow. She's nearly 90 and still trying to make a gardener out of me :) .
What a long strange trip it is.

Well I learn new techniques every year. This is bt far the largest garden I have attempted. Might set up a veggie stand at the house and put a sign up and make a few bucks off it, we shall see.
