Hey People,

Might be heading off to the Dam for this first time, hopefully this year!

Few things I'd like to ask before making any plans etc,

1, heard from a good friend it's cheaper to get a room on North Shields ferry for 4 people than one for yourself, says it's around £50/60 return - Is this true?

2, if so anyone got any bookings for June / July for a 4/7 days trip? Cause i might be up for it.

3, Any good Vegan Cafes / restaurants in the Dam?

4, Average amount of Euros to bring?

Cheers people! Hope to see some of you soon!

1. Do you mean travelling with friends, or solo? Traveling solo is going to cost you a bomb with having to pay for the entire cabin, it'd probably be cheaper to fly in all honesty. A 4-birth cabin for myself & 2 friends (there were no 3 cabins left at the time of booking) totalled at about £75 each for a return. Here's a screenie from the dfds website regarding the price for June 9th, leaving Ams' on the 13th... http://yfrog.com/5983564097j

2. I'll be in Ams' from the 10th till 13th :)

3. Been looking on this website myself, seems a good reliable source: http://www.vegguide.org/region/195 & also this place from a thread I made: https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... 65...would be ideal after an afternoon in vondelpark since it's very closeby.

4. I'm still yet to decide. I'm aiming at around £100 for each day i'm there, so say £250-£350 maybe £400 just to have some on the safe side, but it all depends on on a personal level of how much you're looking at smoking, eating, walking opposed to public transport etc.

If you book up for in June then post up & we'll arrange a T&T...I could do with a fellow veggie to check out some places :)

I would like to try this year if not next. Dunno if anyone on here would like to book a cabin together, but i think i'll be waiting till next year due to me being on the dole atm XD i'll update in future.

If you'd asked a little earlier I could have put your name down for the 4th person in our cabin, bummer man. Keep asking on here, you may get lucky in that someone is also looking to share a cabin. Failing that you could look at those day trips to Ams'? Last time I was in Tates' Travel in S/Land they had a offer on for £33pp, having around 5-7 hours in Ams' itself. It'd be cool to meet up with you if you can get there :)

On a random note are you from the northeast too??
