Another newby - fly agaric interest.

Hello,
I am another newby. My main interest is the Soma, which is the Amanita Muscaria mushroom. I few years ago I wrote a book about the shamans use of it as it applied to me. a few years a go I also made a website. I took it down but I am considering putting it back up again.
I am 67 years of age and looking for responsible people of similar age in the Bournemouth area.

those black mushrooms i forgot the name, its a varation of the fly agairc.... well they sent me to another world about 5 years ago and i mean another world i left my body and walked around somwhere i dont remember. it was alot more intense than lsd and a full on mind and body trip,
if i lived in bounmouth I would be up for it... why not.

Back in the late '60's....'68-'69 I was living in Toronto and we were doing a capuslated, beige powder called Mesculin (sp?) and we were lead to believe that it was a refinment of this mushroom. I found it to be a rather mellow trip, as opposed to the acid of the day. We refered to it as a 'Love' drug....
Are you sure this wasn't what it was, or some version of it ?
Did this often back in the 60's in Chicago, but usually in mushroom form.
No relation to Fly other than being a mushroom.

In the late seventies in Philly I did stuff that was called Mescalin as well but it was in the form of a small cylindrical orange tablet maybe 1/8" high and 1/8" in diameter. People called in "Orange Barrel" but someone said that it was Mescalin. It was moderately intense trip but not as strong as some of the blotter that I have tried.
