I think that the laws will continue to soften, with the US leading the way and other countries following. Hard to say whether it will lead to legalisation or just more medical marijuana programs. Either way I'm pretty optimistic about the situation, there seems to be a tidal wave of support for cannabis that nobody can stop this time. Its exploding in popularity 8)

Its becoming more and more socially acceptable as cannabis use infiltrates mainstream culture, TV, movies, music, the media etc. Suddenly in the last few years there are mainstream TV shows and movies dealing with cannabis in a lighthearted way, instead of the stoner stereotypes and fear-mongering we had before.

Theres still plenty of people around who are 100% anti-cannabis and won't listen to any kind of reasonable argument, but I think that 'reefer madness' generation is slowly dying out. Young people today seem more openminded and smarter than ever, and can see things for what they are.

I reckon ,in ten years,it'll be legal everywhere in the world...except the Netherlands...where you'll be beheaded if caught with more than 0.1 gm of cannabis

2 years....USA caves in and world follows, still the same here, but not for long.
5 years.....Weed available in most places that don't cut yer hands off for stealing, Hollands 'tourist' industry decimated.
10 years.....'What, weed used to be illegal?...lol".
Sometime after that....

 yes I quite agree that California will lead the way. When I went there two years ago the medical suppliers were in abundance, though lately i hear raids are on the up.

But I have to say the weed was top quality! It was very very cool also to just walk in and buy it. (I never got to because my friend was paranoid she'd get busted coming back outside by feds) :?

I am looking forward to not only legalization but the freedom to kick back in cafes and blaze up. not everyplace in public but specialty ambient smoke-shops which really make the experience more relaxing, therapeutic and enjoyable. to me, that was the magic of Amsterdam.

yeah i just had a bong-blast...can you tell?
