Day 2

I woke up around 7, but thought it was too early to get out of bed, so i got back to sleep for an hour and a half, before finally getting up, had a shower and then hit the roads. The plan was to meet Lamps in Stone Cafe for breakfast at 11. His battery on his phone had died so it was a case of meeting him at the time we set, although he was probably up and about aswell!

I wandered out the Hotel, now really knowing where i was gonna go, well, i knew i was gonna walk up Warmoestraat.

Hill St Blues

Super Silver Haze 13E 1g

Walked in, and greeted by the lady behind the bar, but as always it was straight up to the dealers desk to put in my request :-).

There was a group of English lads, on a stag do i think, and they looked at most of the menu, so when i got to the counter, i knew i wanted some SSH. I ordered 2 Ham and Cheese toasties and a Fruits of the Forest fruit juice and went and sat next to the pool table in the big leather armchair. Rolled up 2 Super Silver Haze joints and waited for my breakfast. The time passed quickly and it was soon 11.15, so i went off to find Lamps @ Stones Cafe. Lamps wasnt that hungry and i had eaten, so we decided to find another coffeeshop, and i suggested Bagherra, as i wanted to go this way, because by lunch time we could go in the NY Bagel Shop just down the road from Bluebird and Reefer.

Bagherra

Kacey Jones 14E 1g

Chilled in here for a bit, and im sure Lamps battered my at Chess, chilled with HB a bit and he told us he was getting some Trainwreck 2nite :-) The Kacey Jones was nice, but cant remember too much about it. Me and Lamps said our goodbyes to HB and walked over the canal down the road towards Bluebird and Reefer. I txt TSS and asked if he wanted to meet in an hour in Bluebird, soon after i got a reply saying ok mate

Reefer

Cheese/G13 11E 1g
Blond Polm 4.50E 1g

This is the 1st time i had been in Reefer, and the menu has a nice variety, from cheap to expensive, i opted for the Cheese/G-13, which smelt of Cheese, but not the pungent Cheese like Dampkring or Homegrown Fantasy, the Blond Polm was grindable and gave a mellow afternoon buzz. By now Lamps was understandably hungry, so we walked the short walk to the NY Bagel Shop, i remember coming here last October and has a lovely chicken cheese and onion bagel. This time i had a cream cheese and sundried tomato bagel, cheaper option :-) still as delicious.

Bluebird

Zero-Zero 12.50 2g

Walked into the smoking room and i spotted the same lad i had seen at the bar in Greenhouse the night before, so i knew it was TheStonedShaman (TSS). We all said our Hello's and before we knew it Lampshade was saying his Goodbyes, he overstay had finally run our and im sure begrudgingly he made his was to the airport for the journey back to normality :-(. When i see Lampshade in Homegrown Fantasy on the 1st day, i was delighted, me and Lamps have become good friends, and he has visited my in London quite a few times and always gets on with my mates. Was great to have a smoking buddy for the 1st day and a half, and even better it was Lamps, cheers mate :-). Now Lamps had gone, i had TSS;s company, and he seemed like a nice guy, for some reason i thought he was from Ireland, lol, but he was from not too fat from London lol. We looked at the map and pondered on where to go, i suggested and nice brisk walk to Paradox, TSS had never een there efore, so we had to go

Paradox

Chocolope 5E 0.4g

By now i had quite a bit of weed to smoke, so i just got half a gram. And TSS got me a Toastie. Im sure when i come out to Dam i live on Toasties for most of the day, if a coffeeshop does food, its normally toasties :-). We chilled in here for a while, and TSS agreed that it was a top shop. Again we wondered where to end up next, and i heard about Sanementereng before, but never been, so it wasnt far from Paradox and off we went. We past Flower Power on the way, it seemed quite large from the outside.

Sanementereng

Northern Lights 4.50E 0.5g

This place is like a ig jumble sale. When you walk in here you have to be careful not to knock anything over that is on display. Felt like a nice family shop and had a resident cat. The lady was cheerful and again i ordered just half a gram. "This looks like Del Boy's garage" i said to TSS, and we couldnt stop laughing, you should all know the TV show "Only Fools and Horses", so you would know what i mean :-) I liked this shop, and will visit again. I had more or less chosen the last 2 shops we went to, so it was TSS's turn to pick out a shop, and he had been on about Homegrown Fantasy all day, and its another favourite of mine, it would be my 2nd visit there this trip :-)

Homegrown Fantasy

I didnt buy anything, but i still had some of the 3g of Cheese i bought the previous day. TSS got some cheese, and as always he loved it, I got to say, the consistancy of the HGF Cheese has be top draw for like ever now. After here, i remember TSS went back to the hotel and that was the last i see of him that day and i remember going to Nes and watching Barcelona go out of the Champions League to Inter Milan. And playing more pool. Im sure i was running out of weed and wanted to catch Basjoe and Bagherra before they closed.

Basjoe's

Bas Special 12E 1g

Was greeted by a semi stoned semi cool but always alert James. Told him about the ACD crew and how i miseed the 420 because of the Volcano in Iceland. The Bas Special was quite special this time, i had somed some with TSS thoughout the day and it smoked nice enough for me to want some of my own. I smoked a spliff here and then went next door and caugh HB before he closed.

Bagherra

CheesyButter 12E 0.2 g

I bought this to try it, and boy did it fuck you up, nice cheesy smell and nice buttery texture :-) As good as Terminator, looks better.
HB cleared the shop, but kindly let me finsh my spliff after he had closed. I was gonna go to bed, but i felt i had more to offer the night.... so yep, you guessed it, back to Nes. Where i spotted Islandgurl and DC sitting at the table to the left as you walk in, so i ordered a leffe and joined them, also the owner of Nes was there, and we had a good laugh. I got my small glass pipe out and me, the owner and IG had a few tokes of the hash i had bought throughout the trip. This night went on and on, and i was playing pool with DC and some of the barstaff and IG at 2.30am, getting beat miserably, was time for bed, i had had a long day. But when i got back to the room, (which i was sharing with up to 3 other people i didnt know), a young canadian guy was still up. "Do you smoke" i asked him "Yep", great i thought, i got ready to smoke a spliff... but amazingly I HAD NO WEED, but he did, and i had some Hash, so we made a cocktail which put me nicely off to sleep.

still have 2 days left, more to come :-)

Many thanks for the weed report. Have a question.... It sounds silly but I'm Lactose intolerant. Would that cheesy butter stuff be no good for such an individual then?

it has nothing to do with that. butter is a name for a usually oil based concentrate, whilst cheese is just the name of the strain it was made of ;)

Wicked reporting man!! still not completed mine, its half done, but been so busy with work since got back and other stuff, not really had much time. Still loving the Del Boy`s Garage remark hahah!!

Id definetely recommend the PARADOX CHEESE to everyone!! its worth the interesting little walk, the coffeeshop is a nice, quiet chilled out place, not very big, but its peaceful and has some great weed!!

I didnt personally try the Paradox Cheese at the time of buying it last week, because had so many other strains in my pockets lol... but ive now had the opportunity to smoke it, and i rate it waaaay above the HGF Cheese at the moment.... nice strong, deep, mouth watering cheesy taste, and its hits you good! Paradox Coffeeshop, check it!!:D :D

Excellent report. It was bitter-sweet reading as I was not able to make the pilgrimage due to the volcano.
