Just wondering whether it would be possible to compile a list of coffeeshops and thier prefered choice of music.

This would be great. I am a big music guy (check the sig) and music, for me, can make a or break a mood/situation.

totally agree, i've found Rokerij has good music to smoke to, for me anyway, massive attack, morcheeba, things like that, nice chilled out music. Still wouldn't mind some Jurassic5 and Jimi Hendrix thrown in for a bit of variety! They should just get an online MP3 jukebox.

I am glad you started this thread... music in coffee shops is perhaps the ONLY thing I found to complain about in the Dam.

I like Rock, R&B, soul, blues, world music etc.

Rokerij sounds good, and I agree 420 ^ Grey Area plays good stuff...

too much Techno for my liking elsewhere

Doesn't any shop stream Radio Paradise?

good thread!! music is important in coffeeshops.

Here is the music that is most often playing in my regulars. this can change depending on the budtender and the time of day.

AnyDay - reggae, hiphop, latin
Katsu - brazilian, afro-cuban
Dolphins - reggae
Happy Feelings - poppy/trancy top50 stuff, not my thing
Mellow Yellow - electronic, hiphop, dance

Have to also recommend Siberie... they have different music all the time but its always good. I'm friends with one of the budtenders and he makes a point to play different music every shift.

probably i am wrong with my judgement. i was unsure about the emo thing, always thought emo is not emo core and so on. thats why i used " "
anyway, it was some silverstein they played then.
