Your not gonna convince me Amsterdam has a better variety. There are way more original strains popping up in Cali than in Amsterdam. The whole Amsterdam has great sativas and hazes thing is BS too. There are only a couple of true sativas available in Amsterdam, most are just hybrids that don't have a true sativa high. All the hazes in Amsterdam have little if any haze(Utopia Haze) in them at all. The closest thing to real haze your going to find is Neville's Haze and it's only available in one shop that I'm aware of. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Amsterdam is crap, I just think that Cali has more strains. As far as quality goes I can only judge from the few strains I've tried from both locations, and have to say I did enjoy the weed I got from Cali more. I know that my be hard for some on this forum to swallow, but the weed in Cali really is on a different level in my opinion.

how are you going to give an opinion on the scene though when you have admittedly only smoked true cali bud a few times is what i'd like to know. as a person whos tried medical mj bought from dispenseries in 2 states(washington and cali) and smoked amsterdam weed i think its about even.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Yeah I said I can only judge from the few strains I've tried in both locations, and my opinion is that Cali is on another level. I'm far from the only one who has tried weed from both locations and said Cali is better. I'm not trying to be biased, just giving my opinion.

iv heard it too..but mostly from biased californians(who struggle to believe that aside from their 1 visit to the dam that there is indeed life outside cali) or people who are just hooked into that "cali kush" hype. i still think they are even keel except in the dam anyone can buy and as i mentioned before as a hash lover the dam has that import hash that cali doesn't have on the same level yet. i was just in cali 3 weeks ago and its a cool scene but its young. and as far as the amsterdam not having real sativa theory..thats debatable but i'll give you that. but the same thing can be said about 99% of the kushes flooding the market in california.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Yeah the Kush name has been completely bastardized, just like Haze has in Amsterdam. It's way beyond ridiculous what the Kush hype has created. It seems like there's a new Kush strain popping up every five minutes.

I've never smoked weed in America so i can't give an actual opinion, but creating this thread was more so to do with myself salivating over all these strains that appear to be unique to Cali. Sure amsterdam has some great strains, but things there seem to be slowly dying while Cali seems to be working towards bigger things.

A few people I know who are growers in Cali say a lot of these so called new strains are just differant phenos that the growers decide to rename, the OG Kush and all the differant cuts is a prime example.

Could never see the states allowing cali to become a weed tourism destination... and it's rather difficult to enter the country for some of us...

I just couldn't see it happening - technically speaking, in order to get a tourist visa for america you fill out a form... one of the boxes ask if u take drugs.... if you are honest u will be rejected from entering the country....imagine if that happened in dam...

to be fair 50% of the time you will get thru if you dont declare. Unless you are on any watch list. Otherwise it's £2/3/4 grand down the drain 12 hours there and your on the next 12 hour flight back....
