Sunday

Arrived at Centraal at 11:15, good to be back!

After some food, I stopped by Betty Boop and bought 2g Super Maroc for 10E.



A very nice way to start. Strong, flowery flavour and a great buzz. I smoked 2 spliffs, had a coke, and walked round the corner to Homegrown Fantasy. Decided on the Orange Bud at 8E a g.



This smelled very good, definitely lived up to the name, and also had an excellent, uplifting high.

Spent a while in HGF chatting to a guy who was visiting from Majorca. Nice chap. Smoked hash and Orange Bud while there.

Onto Paradox - picked up 0.6g of Turkse hash at 5E from the pleasant tender.



Didn’t smoke it there, instead continued the previous purchases while watching a steady stream of (mainly local) people wander in and out making there own choices. Good shop!

I began feeling tired so made my way to the hotel.

Spent evening watching Ajax Vs Feyenoord on tv and smoking/snacking/drinking!

Ajax won 2-0.

The Turkish hash was very tasty, coated the throat with a sweet taste (could have been the chocolated I suppose!), and gave a warm and happy high.

Time went by very quickly. Did I waste my first night in the Dam? Not as far as I am concerned!

Monday

Woke at 04:30 , laughed, went back to sleep ‘till 09:00!

Dam Square had it’s Big Wheel in place. Alongside were 3 other rides which appealed to me about as much as a trip to Mercury. Walked around the centrum area and did bits and pieces. Sun shining and a bounce in the step!

Into Abraxas 2

It wasn’t busy so I made myself comfy on the wooden benches upstairs.




Before climbing I had bought some Hawaiian Haze at 12.50E a g.




HH was a good high and together with the Super Maroc, I was fairly buzzing by 13:00.

Walked some more - Leideseplein/Waterlooplein/Amstel. Ended up at the Rokerij at the Amstel. Bought 1g of their Laughing Buddha for 9E.



Spent time smoking the Hawaiian Haze in Rokerij - looked at watch - around 15:00 - walked to Abraxas 1 and had another HH spliff with a water.

Over to 420 Café and got their stinky 420 Kush 1g for 12E



420 Café is a nice place - has a pub atmosphere without the booze. Had some smokes of the HH and LB and then walked to Kadinsky off Damrak.

Decided on 1g Trans Himalaya.



Soft and earthy!

Stayed in Kadinsky for a quick drink and then out and about again for some shopping.

Went back to the hotel where I sampled the Trans Himalaya: good head buzz and tasty with it.

Fell asleep about 23:00.….no all-nighters this trip then!


Tuesday

Woke at 05:00, smoked a LB spliff, went back to sleep ‘till 09:00 again.

Went walking…………..Abraxas 2, had a water, onto Haarlemersstraat, more wandering around, weather good!

Ended up stopping off in Popeyes. Pleasant enough, snapped a picture of their food menu, and bought Vanilla Kush and Lemon Haze, both 13.50E per g





Smoked the last of the Hawaiian Haze in Popeyes, drank water, got a lighter, and stumbled across to Dampkring 2 where I got some King Hassan at 7.50 per g. All got a little lost after this and except for a very nice hot choc for 2.80E, don’t recall much about the rest of Tuesday!

I didn’t get a photo of the King Hassan - not a labelled one anyway! - though I did note down that it was strong for the cost!

Know I walked a lot around Centrum, into 420, Hunters, HGF……must have eaten somewhere!

Ended up at the hotel around 23:00 Vanilla Kush was definitely named well…..very strong smell of …..vanilla! 420 Kush was a much better stone though.

Wednesday

Up and about by 09:30.…weather is absolutely beautiful……sat by Westerkerk and smoked a King Hassan.

Went and bought another 1g Orange Bud from HGF….smoked 2 in there and rolled another to finish it off. Feeling hungry after stint in HGF so went for lunch - how quickly does the time go! - got a tosti for 3.10E at one of the NZ Voorburgwal places - sat in the conservatory - they were playing brazilian music. It was a nice lunch but found I had caught munchies and added a cheeseburger and fries to the lunch at the Kolk!

After that I moved on to Stones and sat outside across from the Oude Kerk in the sunshine - very nice.

Picked up some NYC Diesel at Hunters for 12E



Very recreational - nice smell and taste, and a good, energetic high.

Did some shopping and dumped it back at the hotel around 18:30 before venturing out again.


Picked up Ig of Candy Skunk at Ben for 10E




Very sweet!

Stopped in Hill St Blues for a while and got 1g Ketama Gold after asking for a nice high hash.



Certainly golden!

Chilled about town, met a mate before returning to bed, TV, and smoke!

Thursday

Spent most of the day with a friend, so didn’t get back to Centrum ‘till the evening…….Koniningenacht!

Picked up some Super Silver Haze - 1g for 10E, and Super Pollen - 1g for 6.50E - both from Stones.





Spent evening in the crowds, watching DJ’s on Warmoesstraat, until the rain started. Party over!

Walked to hotel via Abraxas 2 where a very pleasant scottish tender sold me a lovely bud if John Sinclair for 14E



Energetic, lasting high, smell of lavender mixed with vomit. Lovely!

Back to hotel at 01:00

Friday = Queensday!

I gave the vrijmarkt a miss and din’t leave hotel ‘till 14:00! No shame here though!

Wandered around listening to music at Leidseplein and so on. Must have been smoking something! Ended up at Dampkring 2 where I bought something I’d actually planned to get!

Habibi 1g 15E!



Amazingly sticky - had problems getting it spliff-fit! Worth the bother though!

Smoked all the John Sinclair - thankfully didn’t taste of sick! Good high. Also finished off the SSH from Stones - no mention in notes of the effect - must have got lost in the mix!

Queensday is an amazing event to be experienced if you don’t have a problem with crowds.
In the morning, people sell their goods outside their homes etc, in the afternoon there are soundsystems everywhere supplying all genres to the throng, lots of people enjoying the day, even more drunk and stoned/high people, but little trouble.

I tried to stay around Museumplein for Tiesto but it was too much for me by then. Lightweight!

Got to hotel at midnight - finished Vanilla Kush which worked this time - or I was tired!

Saturday

Out and about at 11:00.

Went to Dolphins and got 1g Royal Dolphins at 10E.



Very nice light hash - full flavour - energetic.

Camera not charged. Fuck.

Onto Katsu - first visit - comfy at the back.

Bought 1.1g White Snake for 10E - no photo - shame because it was a very dense, very dark green bud in almost a heart shape! Good sativa-dominant, with a very herby taste.

Also got a 5E deal of Red Leb which got smoked quickly and was good! Again no photo though.

3rd purchase in Katsu was a 5E deal of Pollen Nepal which I did get a photo of!



Didn’t smoke it in Katsu.

Spent a while chatting to a nice couple from the New Orleans, and another couple from Liverpool.

Back to Centrum, into Hill St Blues on Warmoesstraat. Had 2 chocolate milkshakes there - comfy seats - covered in graffiti. Music sound levels have too much variation in here but the milkshakes are excellent!
Smoked the rest of the Dolphins in here.

Onto Betty Boop - got Ig Betty’s Haze for 10E - no photo - smoked it in 420 Café - very chatty stuff!

Over the way to De Kroon where I got my find of the trip.

1g Special Maroc for 9E



Have to compare this with the Habibi, and this won! Incredibly soft dark hash - oozing!!

DJ entertained in De Kroon and I got back to hotel at midnight.

Sunday

Last day.

Smoked the rest of the Special Maroc and Pollen Nepal (spicy spicy with full on head high - a bit harsh but good)

Did some more bits and pieces and then on to Hill St Blues for the Ketama Gold and milkshakes!

Eventually made it to Centraal and then home. It poured with rain the whole day - suitable really!

Favourite is difficult to say - Special Maroc from De Kroon maybe - liked it all!

Nice trip report. loved the look of the hashes you brought am looking forward to some soft dark hashes myself when I land in the Dam in september.

That made me laugh because I was just remembering that when I was a kid I hated the smell of weed. The mr. and I were smoking some particularly dank bud last night, and when I walked back in the room and the wave of delicious skunky funk washed over me all I could think is how good it smelled!

Probably the Special Maroc from De Kroon Stuart - it was a nice surprise for the price!

To be perfectly honest, after day 2, it tends to all meld together for me!

I note my Royal Dolphin picture has been removed - maybe Imageshack didn't like the fact it was sitting on the receipt!
