WestCord Fashion Hotel Amsterdam

Post by bavlondon »

Ok so we decided to cancel our booking at the cornerhouse, saw some reports of rats so we managed to bag a great deal on lastminute at the Westcord FAshion. It's 4 star and even has a gym! Deffo gonna use that.

Only thing is it's not quite in the centre it's near the Vondelpark. Anyone know how the best way to get into the centrum is from here? What tram? And how long does it take by walking? Hopefully there are a few coffeeshops out here.

Thanks

in march i contacted conrnerhouse & inquired about a single room, they wanted 85e a night & that was with shared facilities  i knew from then they were clowns, i know boners recomended it, but to wanna charge 85e for a single room without bathroom & in the off season  it would have to be recomended by the queen herself for me to pay that for a basic 3*

This particular hotel is much further out. I know it is always cheap, but personally I think its too far from the center.

It is near the number 1 tram, 15-20 min to Leidesplein, 25-30 to Central.

Oops, it is a bit further than the park isn't it? My bad.
One good thing i can see about the location is a shorter train ride from Schiphol...

What do you mean? Do I not still go to central station and then get the tram from there?

nah mate the best stop is lelylaan. You could also get bus 195 from Schiphol. Best thing to do is check it on 9292ov.nl (english version aswell).

Your near me in the deep south west of the city, bit of a pain in the arse but yeh tram 1 to central station and there will be a nightbus to take you back after 12.30. A fair taxi fee should only be about 20 euros from Schiphol to your hotel, it's not that far

you're close to a fey good shops boerejongens, bij, the loft, de prijs, t'guirnest

Not a bad word to say about this hotel. It's pretty much brand new so was clean everywhere. Hotel service was excellent too, food especially! We ate in 2 nights. :-)

Also the hotel was like a few mins walk from the Surinamplein tram stop which went into central in less than 15 mins.
