Old Friends and New, I have an annoucement to proclaim to y'all.

My two friends and I are leaving the fine streets of Portsmouth on July the 4th in an attempt to explore the globe on Motorbikes. We are going to the following counties;

Now the trip we think will take around 9 months and we will be going places that will be extremely difficult to ride, thus why we are taking Yamaha XT600E.

My final thought I love everything about Amsterdam including these forums greatly and I would much appreciate anyone showing support to our cause, even if it is just adding us on Youtube, it all counts to make a difference. xxx

Funny you should say that, but I will be continuing afterwards going up through brazil, venuzuala, Carribean, Cuba and then All of America and Canada

Lol We got some new footage but we may continue filming it in America when we have some new cast

that is f**king awesome, amazing stuff, sounds like the exact route they took in 'long way round' & then on top doing north 2 south america u guys are crazy, them bikes look like theyl hold up well, in lwr them bikes took a battering in places like mongolia&siberia, they even snapped the chassis they used bwm's?? how long do u think itl take?

On a serious side note, I hope you've looked into kidnap and ransom insurance for your central and south American stretch of the tour.

Some people like camping in the jungle, no one likes camping in the jungle with a platoon of FARC-EP rebels for up to 10 years.

Yer we will take it very very slowly over the mongolia and russian areas im sure, we are in no rush so its all going to be fun and games. Probably 9 months for the first part of the trip. Then I may be continuing on a different tour. But money is going to be the major factor.

Dont get me wrong I would love to do the Darien gap but I feel our bikes will have a different mind set, that and all the columbians who will try to shoot us

had a thought, u guys gonna get carnets, because in lwr i remember they needed them for the bikes & equipment

We only need Visa's for Russia which has been applied for and we are just awaiting the answer. Then we need to get Visa's for Mongolia and Kazakhstan which should be as hard to get! I dont think we need a carnet anywhere that we are going to.

carnets are required as soon as you leave the EU, they are to stop people avoiding paying import tax, you might get away without having 1for a few countries but the amount your going through its almost guaranteed 1 will insist on it
