Just finished playing Football manager Live at which I am totally hopeless, my team is getting a doing almost every other game, ruthless rival managers sell me promising superstars who turn out to be shit. so I stopped playing and went to watch the telly whereupon my good lady insisted we watch '' Bridget Jones Diary '' Yet I remain a optimistic soul, life WILL get more interesting.

Just having a mango and indian hash cocktail whilst playing Skate 3 which came out yesterday, reliving my skateboarding days from the comfort of my sofa....so far the cocktail is ticking every box , and so is Skate 3, just found out I can download other peoples skate park creations, superb..

As I am subject to random drug testing in the workplace ( although to be fair i have only been tested once in six years since the policy was introduced) I have spent the last couple of hours whiling away the boredom by reading up on the internet about the many over the counter and prescription medicines which will induce a '' false positive '' result for the THC metabolite and thus render the cannabis smoker free from disciplinary action, as it is the law in the UK that the tester must ask beforehand what medicinal substances the '' victim '' has been taking

The admission that you take certain legal medicines will therefore render your drug test results irelevent

I was going to maybe start a thread on this subject in the legislation section if anyone is remotly interested, although it is my experience that unless a person is personally affected by this issue--they are happy to remain blissfully ignorant

I don't have to take drug tests, but think a thread of this nature would be helpful to many, Bilbo, go for it! I do have one question, though; I had a friend who took a drug test for work and it came back positive, they tried to say that they had been to a party where it was smoked, but the laboratory knew the levels were too high for that. Would this apply here at all?

Oh and nothing wrong with being a geek. We're usually intelligent from reading so much, i.e. I'll read your thread even though it doesn't apply to me.

IG, The accepted fact is that passive smoking of Marijuana does not cause a person to get anywhere near the 50mg limit, many tests have been done to confirm this including one where 4 guys sat in a car all night long--three of them toked constantly, one abstained. and at the end his tch metabolite level was changed by only 5mg. so passive smoking is not normally considered a defence.

However saying to the tester beforehand the you take ADVIL ( Available at any chemist ) sometimes gets you off the hook before you even start
( Ibrobrfen painkillers induce a false positive if taken regularly ) so when the tester asks you what medicines you are taking reply that you have had a bad toothache or some other such excuse and that you have been taking a dozen ADVILs a day to soothe it.

also if you have a little advance notice of a test--drink as much water as you can--this dilutes your urine specimin--American companies sometimes reject a clear specimin but the way to get round this is to take a couple of vitamin B2 supplement tablets--this turns even the most diluted urine sample a normal yellowish tinge.

Eat something before the test, this stops the body feeding on any fat reserves, which is where of course the THC metabolites they are looking for are stored

When you give a urine sample give them it from the middle part of the urine stream---not the beginning squeeze it out bit or the similar end part --but from the middle of the whole procedure--this has been proved to contain the least THC

Anyway I ramble on I'll post a thread of this geekworthy subject elsewhere
