Following advice from NATS, all flights to and from Heathrow are suspended between 01:00 and 07:00 on Monday 17 May. This is due to airspace restrictions caused by volcanic ash. Passengers planning to fly during this period should contact their airline.
Your not alone Buster. B.A. have just canceled my flight and Schipol is closed this morning too. On to B.A. now trying to rebbok a shortened visit this week. Then the B.A. strike starts tomorrow, but they say that Gatwick will not be affected. Is it O.K. for a grown man to cry?

I think this is 1 of those situations when the answer is , yes , yes it is ok to cry
Aside from that I was reading yesterday that Mr Virgin was complaining to anyone who would listen about why all the airports should remain open .
fingers crossed for those with trips coming up
Sending out the good vibes to those that need them right now
I know its a month before i travel, but this bloody volcano is causing me some serious stress. Going to be the longest 4 weeks of my life i'm thinking.
Got some good news people. Before I left work they were getting breaking news from the CAA. As of noon tomorrow there will be revised restriction definitions in place. Basically planes will be able to fly in ash levels where before they would not have been able to.
Also...it seems that the BA strike is not going to happen after all.
And the volcano is supposed to have calmed down. Good luck for those with more long term plans.
I am still sweating like a priest next to a polygraph regarding getting to Amsterdam. Keeping fingers crossed.
