A late reply I know, but for us ageing hippies time sometimes stands still. Thanks for that stoned since 67, no, haven't read that novel , but just looked it up on the net - sounds great, and have just ordered a copy.

And nice dreams, yeah went back to Goa in 1999 as I had always promised myself to go back there, but to do it style now I have a few bob behind me. Stayed in a luxury hotel near Panjim on and all inclusive deal. The atmosphere of the place was the same, but found it a bit of a tourist trap and the beach I sang Ruby Tuesday on was full of hotels and stuff and those cute beach lodges we stayed in were all gone. Its always hard to go back, but the charas was plentiful ! - and whilst there I met a young engaged couple from Bracknell. We became good friends and the following year I was their best man at their wedding . On the grooms stag night back in the U.K. we got so stoned and laughed so much that I split a rib and ended up in casualty! Was all I could do the following weekend to get my caks on, let alone give a speech, but I seem to recall I managed it OK.

For Mail readers we will wait a while, but I know a bunch of telegiraph readers that do the cryptic crossy daily with a fat one. With unpredictable and sometimes hilarious results it has to be said though.
But it keeps our few grey cells sparking, just.

Can never get my head around those cryptic puzzles Sidergawd. Will now give it a bash the next time I am stoned. I should add that a few years ago I met the man who invented crosswords. Can't quite remember his name though, but I think it was P something T something R.

Make sure you book up for 420 in 2011 - we can show the youngsters how a fat one should be made 60's style!

Well mate I did 420 this year and I have to admit it was probably more than I should have attempted at my age (63) . So I shall stick to my bike rides with my pal and gentle summer trips with my Lady. But I do hope our paths cross at some time in the 'Dam and I will enjoy attempting to explain the mysteries of the Telegraph cryptic, and swapping a few yarns with ya

Thanks for the great story share! Life was much freeier back then compared with today and all its regulations! Amsterdam and the Net are probably one of the few exceptions...
