Cisco- your comments about your notes make me laugh. My notes are often incomprehensible as well. On one trip there are literally pages of pictures of bongs and random equations. Later I figured out that it was my mr's attempts to describe the ideal conditions for various kinds of smoking implements.

At least that's what he told me it was, it still made no freaking sense to me.

Saturday April 24th

As I mentioned previously I could not distinguish between Saturday and Sunday from my memory or my notes !! So I read some trip reports (Cheers AP , IG , DS) but as promised a glimpse into a shattered mind !?
Notes from my wee red book
Sat up 11ish headed up barneys was got 1G cheezse HGF on THE WAY NO BUD LEAF TASTE ? Barneys B/Fast AMNESIA 1G G13 1G King Hassan 1g Laughin BUDDHA 1G.5 TURKISH 1G California 1G Bas cream special (stones corner 1G sup siv HAZE)

WTF !!????? Now that’s what my notes say now here is what happened ! Lol (however im sure some people just prefer details rather than the story ? So if that’s you its time to check another thread ?
Ok on with the story………………….

Woke up to another glorious day in Amsterdam sun shining instant happiness. Get myself showered and out the door (no doubt with a spliff first) its still fairly early for me 11ish I always like to go to Barneys Uptown at least once per trip , ok I know some people think its pricy , but come on peeps your on holiday !? Lol I have fond memories of the old Barneys breakfast Bar on the corner , smoking Sweet tooth and eating pancake breakfasts , anyway I digress .

Get off the tram behind Dam Palace and decide to head for Home Grown Fantasy the last time I was in Dam there was NO Cheese ! Boo ! Stroll in ask to see the menu although I know im after Cheese but they also do a banging Sour D none of that this trip . I have to admit I done a rookie mistake and never even asked to see the Cheese I just bought a bag 1G €12.50 ? I think I was humming and hawing a bit and one of the women who works there was kinda trying to take the piss (im sure it may have been the ahem large lady peeps have mentioned !?) but it was all in good humour , ordered a coffee went to sit in the back . This is where I discovered my mistake grabbed my bag to pop it open into the grinder and smell the cheesy goodness when I was presented with leafy stems with loose buds !! Not the usual nice tight Cheese nugs smells lovely but I don’t buy weed to smell , although I do love the smell of good weed in the morning ! Lol roll one up anyway toke it up then im off nip into Amnesia on the way and get !G G13 €13 ? Just buy roll a couple of spliffs to enjoy with breakfast then its off to Barneys

Arrive at Barneys to find that its not that busy , say good morning to the waitress that approaches and ask for a table for one , she asks back “table for one”? get a table on the right hand side at the side of the bar, I already know what I want “Cappuccino , OJ , and the Bacon Roulade please” its not as good as their old menu butter milk pancakes MMMMMMMMMM lol still pretty good though ! Sit back light a spliff of the G13 lovely smoke , relax into a bit of people watching while waiting for my order . There is a group of four over from me , obviously two couples prob about in the 40-50 age bracket from the snippets I could hear at least one of the couples was a Scottish couple , couple of tables to my right two dudes came in my impression American dudes from the hood , looked a couple of cool cats (love the diversity of Amsterdam) ! My brecky comes and im pleased to see that the portion size is bigger than last time . Basically scrambled egg rolled in the middle of butter milk pancakes with lovely crispy bacon on top ! MM smothered with maple syrup ! Again MM munched that down pronto slurped my coffee and OJ sat soaking up the atmosphere for a while smoke the couple of doobs I rolled then off into the day

Decide to head over to The green Place with the obligatory stroll through the RLD ! Lol get to the TGP and decide on a G of the Trainwreck 1G 12 decide its going to be a buy and fly as it’s a lovely day and decide to take a stroll down Klovenlersburgwal to the Basjoe patio arrive there to find Hestia had already set up camp Lol (top lady by the way one of the infamous Stoner Chicks) Stroll in to find the ever happy James with a quick fist bump its down to business decide on a G of the Bas Cream Special a lovely soft black ordered a water then went to sit on the terrace with Hestia tried to roll a couple of spliffs im sure the skins were blown about a bit ! Lol manage it anyway Hestia is only smoking pipes so I offer her some TW I think ? Anyway after a while either Hestia heads off or I do ? Lol
Make my way over to Amnesia to meet IG for the Hershey hand over I stroll round the corner and what do we have here ? Angry Pirate and friend , Alreet lads nice one good to see them again get myself a strawb shake MMMMM and settle in for a smoke and a right royal giggle , do the handover with IG (once again top girl much respect) So im here sitting in front of Amnesia with two big bags of chocolate peanut butter and it’s a lovely day !! So I decide im gonna head down the road to drop them off then meet up with peeps later . I leave AP my grinder as im setting of I smile to someone on the bench outside Amnesia (who I have later learned was Blueberry , I don’t think we met or were introduced but next time ? Lol )

Off I go on a slow stroll down to mine , I decide to have a look along Kalverstraat to pop into the Fila shop as I have made a few purchases from here in the past and wanted to see the new season range (im particularly partial to Fila Gold Label !) but it was not to be , it was closed !!?? Boo don’t know if its for a re-model or shut for good ? Go into a couple of sneaker shops too (been looking for the OG red Air Max for an age)

Image

Nip into the original Dampkring on the way 1G King Hassan hash €7.50 I really like KH and for that price cant really go wrong ? Also a G laughing Buddha €6.50 great price for a great bit of bud . Buy n fly eventually get to my Hotel and end up chilling for a while not too long enough time to sample the wares .
Back out and head up back into Centrum to meet the lads , not sure if we had made any plans but I remember AP saying he might go to Paradox ? I had never been before so decide to head there , quick consult of the map and im off ……………..

Going to leave it there for now folks more to come soon .

Great read mate! Hey, wondering where those really narrow alleyways are? Never seen such a narrow passage before.

Too bad about HGF, the first time I walked in there, I immediately ordered three 0.8gram bags of Cheese without looking at it first. Luckily it was primo shyte and we enjoyed it immensely.

Can't wait for more... of the report, and cheese :)

That little ally is at the back of the Old Church ( If memory serves me correctly ) Sort of between the Bulldog, and the corner before you turn around towards the Old Church.

Top reportage Cisco, enjoying reading this one.

Great stuff, cisco. I hear you about buying without smelling, even if it's a strain I love such as NYCD I can't buy and not smell it first - learned my lesson years ago as you did this time

Funny about the Reese's Cups. I bought a bag for myself when I bought those for y'all and still have some left. Thank you for the kind words and much respect backatcha. ;-)

Between yours and hestia's reports I'll be in reading heaven for a while. :D
