i'm gonna have to go with a big N-O on that one... I've been out to Weesp and it's far too small and conservative to have a coffeeshop... just a little sleepy town on the route towards the east... I'd recommend going west instead and Biking to Haarlem... you'll enjoy the Coffeeshops much more out there :D

Thanks man...the reason i'm going out that way is to visit the Gaasperpark and cycle round the lake and check out the campsite...i'm hoping to take my 2 lads camping in late August, and it looks a pretty neat spot...
I'm not too bothered if Weesp doesn't have a CS...I'm sure i'll have plenty with me to smoke anyway :D ...

If youre camping i'd definately recommend looking towards the north sea Beach... especially in August the weather should be quite warm... Up near Noordwijk and katwijk there are some great beaches you can even go swimming on... there are a whole bunch of camping sites out that way as well...

plus if you want a funky hidden gem go down to the beach in Noordwijk and walk north along the water... once you get past the beach goers there are some old WW2 bunkers in the dunes... abandoned they're cool to check out

just an idea for a relaxing holiday... closest Coffeeshops to there would be in Leiden... but they only open at 4pm...
or Amsterdam a bit further...

Gaasperplas il a really good camping, cheap and without chavs. It will take you about 35mn to go to Central Station by train. I always camp here when I go to the Dam in summer
