I'm off to the dam on the 12th of July for five days with a friend.
I've been once before but spent most of our time in basjoes which I loved (especially James the bud tender such a cool guy) and Rusland (which was also really good especially the crystal). But this time i wanna visit a lot more places and try a large selection of strains.
So where and what can people recommend. I've heard a lot about Hunters and Mellow Yellow.
Also I would like to try some truffles whilst i'm there which i've never tried before so can anyone suggest the best place to buy and what type?
Hope someone can help a bit of a novice.
Cheers
Ty

waht area are you staying in? most places are with in 30 mins walking distance so its easy to get around to other places but we all know how easy it is to get lazy and stay in a CS near where you are staying.
Katsu has a good selection and great deals too but depending where your staying it could be a tram ride away.
have a look at the map and see whats around you

Print yourself several copies of this Map.weed-t wrote:I'm off to the dam on the 12th of July for five days with a friend.
Welcome to the forum.
You have been posted on the July Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Looks like enough people will be in town that they will start being posted.
By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.
First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.
How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.
Enjoy

hi there ive just come back and to be honest , when you dont have coffeeshops back home , i think the best idea is just to go where you fancy - walking miles for specific coffeeshops when there are so many is just a waste of smoking time! the bulldog no. 90 /hill st blues and the blues brothers were the best for us this trip but this was our 9th time and hadnt been in those before ! hope you have fun!!!!weed-t wrote:I'm off to the dam on the 12th of July for five days with a friend.

welcome..
Nothing wrong with spending all yer time in Basjoe. I'd do it.
Alternatively, Greenplace is left out James' door and a short walk up the canal. Bluebird is close enough too...
Katsu, and the rest of De Pijp is well worth a few minutes on a tram. Have fun.
