It doesn't have to be just coffee shops with wi-fi It can be good cafe's or bars or basicly anywhere I can het free wi-fi because I'm looking to do a live trip report when I'm out there next week

Here's a Google map listing wi-fi hotspots -- not mine. Surprisingly, it contains no coffeeshops (though many restaurants and bars), but it's still useful anyway as a supplementary resource used in conjunction with the above links.

I found free WiFi spots just about anywhere, albeit requiring the access key from the pub/hotel/cafe bar, etc, who are happy to give it to you if you're buying a drink or some food. Speeds are very good too in Amsterdam.

The
Abraxas Coffeeshop has free WiFi. Of cause you should buy something before using it...
I always stop at the Abraxas for a smoke´n´surf session with my PDA. Their top hash never disappointed me.

plus the internet is super cheap at abraxas if you don't have a device... only 1 euro per hour.... try finding that in any of the internet cafes....ha!
