Bulldog, Grasshopper, Old Church
ok, I'm trolling. those all suck
Barney's just too pricey for me.

Amnesia: A large selection of top-shelf gear. I personally have to recommend Pink Kush as the Mrs and I couldn't keep away from each other whilst consuming it. Also, they have extremely good food and beverages...AND the best patio in the 'dam, IMHO.

Grey Area: They have their fans and nay-sayers, but personally I found the gear very decent. Not always in taste, but effects, for sure. It's an American shop (which we are) so keep that in mind. And of course it's smaller than a mouse's dick.

Homegrown Fantasy: Their shit will almost certainly knock you on your ass. I'd be very surprised if anything you picked wasn't quite strong. I made the mistake of ordering from the middle of the menu on my first day and promptly woke up on the shop floor wondering where the fuck I was. Yes. I'm serious :D

I like Basjoe (great hash), Grey Area (new strains), Central (stationplein hustle and bustle) and katsu (favourite in de pjip). All have quality gear!

I would highly recommend Paradox. They have a nice variety and sell 5 euro bags so you can sample all their offerings without breaking the bank, plus they have very reasonably priced pure joints (4 euros for Chocolope). The area is very nice as well (the Jordaan).

I used to be a big advocate of Barneys. I trusted the budtenders in the Lounge, who used to remember us from previous visits and I used to rate their Laughing Buddha as the best smoke in town.

Since I started to explore a lot more, into the De Pijp, Jordaan etc, I consider them exceedingly expensive and the same strains in other shops (eg, the Laughing Buddha from Rokerij) are just as good, if not better.

Barney's is what it is. Pretty commercial but a step up from the Bulldogs and Grasshoppers.

I always buy from Amnesia (though it now has the same issues as Barneys), and Paradox. Paradox does the best weed in the city in my opinion. Shame the weed is pre-weighed.

Usualy head for Grey Area for the quality. I accept there are probably cheaper places. A good place for a few bongs (bowls) 8)

All of these places are quality recommendations.

Remember this, you'd tip a bartender when you buy a beer, throw a tip to your budtender... he or she is a friend.

Peace

Barneys and Amnesia's Gear are mostly the same so don't bother going both places if you're time is limited- comes from Barneys Farm, and I think it's worth a stop-in. Also, while the prices are still high there, they are not as out of line with the prices I was seeing other places, in general as they used to be. Certainly not double. And they really do a good job with the newer, trendier stuff. Also the staff is usually good.

Basjoes. Hands down. If only one stop, this would be it for me. Haven't tried bagheera yet.

Katsu and Media- if you're there, check out both.

I would add a stop by MY/Noon.
Because life is too short to smoke bad bud.
