My list for July 15-18

Post by juzz »

Hi all!

This is my first post but I've been lurking around for a while now doing some reading.

I'll be making my first trip to the Dam next month and would like to try as much as possible while I'm there. I'm far from an experienced smoker, only smoked weed a handful of times in my life so I won't be going overboard in terms of quantity, but I'd like to try a bit of as much as possible with my 3 mates.

This is what I have so far (stole some from Bilbo Baggins' thread):

Basjoes - Bas Special, Cakes, Terminator Big Buddha Cheese
Grey Area - L.A. Confidential, Chocolope, 4077
Mellow Yellow - S5 Haze in Volcano, Blueberry, Cakes
Rokerij - One of Laughing Buddha, Sour Diesel, Purple?
Abraxas and Paradox - Cakes
Barney's - Amnesia Haze, G-13 Haze joint
Amnesia - LSD, White Widow
Kadinsky - Orange Bud, Bubblegum
GreenPlace - Purple Kush or Jack Herer
Greenhouse - Super Lemon Haze
Dolphin - Northern Lights, Space Muffin
Bushdocter - Ice-o-Lator Hash pre-rolled
Dampkring - Super Silver Haze pre-rolled

Rusland - Morrocan Isolator Vapo

Probably going to have to start cutting this down soon, because no way will we get through all of this in 3 and a bit days. And I will probably remember more strains that I wanted to try too lol.

Green = Wake and Bake
Red = Bed time
Blue = During the day
Black = I don't know yet, help would be appreciated :D

I'd also like to try Hash and (if I can find them) Hawaiian Mushrooms. What do you guys recommend and from where?

What's the best place to try a bong? Never done it before. Or this vaporizer I keep reading about lol.

Please feel free to add and subtract from my list as you see appropriate.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the July Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Enjoy

Tis very true. In all of my trip i have never had a proper Purple Haze.
really wanna try this stuff, as well as Northern Lights. Mainly because they are so iconic. Are they worth it? And if so where can I get them?
Northern Lights can be a great cheapish smoke in the Dam. The last NL strain I had was NLX from Ben, a couple of doors down from Burger Bar  Nice smoke from what I can remember. You might also want to try Jack Herer maybe from Greenplace.
Also what do you recommend I try from Amnesia?
The LSD would be my choice, great strong smoke.
I was also thinking of trying White Widow, Orange Bud and Bubblegum, where are the best places to get these strains?
Kadinsky has all of those strains on the menu. I would go to the one by the windmill on Rokin not far from Dam Square.
I'd also like to try Hash and (if I can find them) Hawaiian Mushrooms. What do you guys recommend and from where?
I am starting to try more hash on my visits. Katsu, Basjoe and Dampkring have some nice one's.
What's the best place to try a bong? Never done it before. Or this vaporizer I keep reading about lol.
For bongs I would give 420, Greenplace or Grey Area a try. They all use Roors and are clean. Barney's on Haarlemmerstraat has a Volcano on every table. Just ask one of the workers for a quick tutorial. Also Katsu and Anyday have Verdampers. It's like a Volcano crossed with a bong, it's a must try.Take it slow and easy, the effects are immense!
Have I missed anything?
The only other thing I would suggest is not to over plan, just go with the flow.
Sorry for asking so many questions guys. I'm a noob:(.
We were all in your shoes at some point.

Peace,
Balou

Wow thank you so much balou for such a detailed answer! I really appreciate it.

The only thing I can think of now is where can I find out what strains are sativas and what are indicas?

So I can have my Sativas for wake and bake and during the day and Indicas later in the day and in the evening.

And just quickly, does anyone have any wake and bakes or before bed smokes they recommend?

Thanks again. :D

P.S. Also thanks FlyByNite for that n00bs guide, it's really helpful! Cheers.

You're quite welcome.

IC Strain Guide has a search feature, http://www.icmag.com/modules/ICStrainguide/ Also most menus will have it listed and a good budtender should know if you ask.

My favorite wake and back is Amnesia Haze and night smoke, Kush.

Also I see you like edibles, Paradox has some of the best. I memory serves me right, almost a gram in each one. I usually try to search out a few strains before my trips as well. Just remember some strains might be out or not look as nice as you would wish. So your list will narrow itself down. One other thing, have you browsed through FBN menu site? Good stuff, http://www.csfroghollow.nl/

Peace,
Balou

man i really like your enthusiasm, thats a really decent meaty list ha ha ha for a non smoker theres gonna be a couple of whitey experiences i rekon ha ha.

for your first time in Dam, i would suggest that you print out the Coffeeshop map from this site and mark on it where your hotel is and where other important land marks are. print one out for all your mates coz YOU WILL GET LOST... ALOT!!!!! ha ha ha

amsterdam is a genuinly beautfiull city, but to our non dutch eyes, all those pretty streets with canals look the same, and a couple of wrong turns usually leads to an hour of wandering. Add to this the indecisevness of stoned mates, no one knows who leading who where etc etc

i always make plans for the whole day but you just cant helping losing track of the plan by about the second coffeeshop. its all part of the fun.

you gonna have a fucking blast,

also i just wanna say to asnwer your question on the 'trying bongs or vapourisers'

both mellow yellow and Rusland have Volcano Vapourisers, which i love, and most importantly, both places are happy to set it up for you and show you how to do it.

volcanos are awesome, very strong but awesome.
