10 Days in a daze (continued)
DAY 9
I woke up feeling even worse today. I have only 2 days left in Amsterdam, I would really like to make the best of it! At Breakfast, the local man, that I had met on monday, said he would take me to an Herb shop for some medicine. So after I ate, the two of us headed over to the Klovners, close to the Green Place, to a shop filled with barrels of Herbs and Natural remedies. My friend said something to the Shop owner, then he handed me a box of Syrup. I paid for it, then we found bench by the canal. I chugged down some of the concoction as my new friend told me about his "Hippie days" in Amsterdam. I was still sneezing with a non stop runny nose, so we headed back to the Hotel.
LA TURTILIA
Laughing Buddha 10.00 per gram.
After resting up for a few hours, I was feeling a little better, I think that medicine helped. I walked over to LaTertulia to use the Verdamper; so I could avoid smoke. I bought a bag of Laughing Buddha and a coffee. The owner took the Verdamper up stairs and plugged it in. After the "contraption" warmed up, I tried a bowl of the L.B. This was the first time I had tried this strain. It's not very strong, but it's a very pleasant buzz, a good "wake and bake" strain. I would recommend this stuff for "newbies" or for anyone visiting a Museum or the Park. This was certainly better then the Kushadelic that I bought there the day before. I finished a second bowl then took a walk along the Prinsengraught, it was a lovely day.
I Went back to the Hotel and rested again, then headed out for some food.
I went down to Kol I Noor again, I love Indian food and this place is one of the best in town. After I finished eating I went back to the Hotel to get my stash, by now it was about 8:30 pm. There was supposed to be a T&T at Bageera at 9:00 pm, hosted by Ftcarrer. After 3 failed T&T attempts during this trip, I wondered if any one would show up for this one! Despite my doubts, I headed over to the Kloviners to give it a go!
I walked in to Bageera just before 9:00pm. I was greeted by a Dreadlocked Bud Tender. I asked him if any one had inquired about an A.C.D meet up. It was Highly Blessed, he pointed to a guy standing next to me "this is one of em" he said. The man introduced himself as ftcarrer. Finally, an actual T&T person had showed up! I explained that I was trying to avoid smoke because of the illness, so we waited for a while to see if any more A.C.D peeps would show up, then we decided to head to Anyday to use the "Verdampers".
When we got to Anyday ftcarrer looked at the menu, he decided on the Afgahan delight. He bought me a bottled water then we headed up the spiral staircase to "Verdamper land".
We sat at one of the "Verdamper" tables and got our stashes out. FT told me that he had arrived in Amsterdam that morning and he had already purchased an impressive load of gear, from all over the city. His 1st day was almost a duplicate of mine, hitting a lot of local shops for good Gear at good prices, Borejongens for one. We compared some of our favorite purchases then preceded to load up a bowl of each.
We tried the Afghan Delight that Ft had just bought, it was delightful indeed. It tasted and smelled sweet and had a nice Indica stone to it, but not devastating. Then I showed him the John Sinclair that I bought at Abraxas. He really liked the smell of it so we loaded some of that in the Verdamper. We agreed that this was some of the best Weed that either of us had tried so far. Then he showed me the Medicinal Leaf that he bought at the Grey Area. Wow! I told him that was the most "American" looking shit that I had seen on this trip. The bud was dense and had that "Gun Cleaner" stink to it, lovely. It certainly had that California Medical body stone to it, as well. I think that this particular sample wasn't grown to it's potential; however it was very nicely cured and still did the job. Don't get me wrong, this was great, I just think that this Strain, (from D.N.A Genetics), could be even stronger.
Then, as I was taking the Verdamper's heating element out of the glass bowl, the bowl came loose and hit the floor. Oh Fuck! I broke it, it shattered into several pieces. I took the pieces down to the Bud Tenders to explain what had hapend. They could not have been nicer about it. They said that that happens from time to time. They showed me how to hold the bowl down when you take the heating element off, so that wouldn't happen again. They gave me another bowl, then I headed back upstairs, I held on to that Bowl like my hands where Vice-grips; I would not let that happen again!
Ftcarrer and I resumed our "Verdamper" session with some of the amazing "Weed Fairy" Ice that we had both recieved from D.C at Nes. We agreed that this Shit made everything else pale in comparison. I loaded a bowl of the Ice with some of the John Sinclair. FT thought the Weed Fairy was more like a "Weed Troll", or "WeedGoblin", or something like that; because that Ice packs such a punch!
You would think that after consuming the Ice, and everything else that we had tried up to that point, a sensible "Stoner' would give it a break for a while; it turns out neither of us where that sensible, the samples kept coming out and landing in the Verdamper bowl. then, Ftcarrer loaded some Amnesia Haze that he got from Bageera, this was a "preview" of a batch that wouldn't even be available for a month or so. Wow! I think this was some of the best Amnesia Haze that I had tried. Be sure to look for that at Bageera in a month or so!
After the Amnesia, we started loading up combo bowls of everything we had: Black Widow, Martian Mean Green, Intensive Care, Sage, a variety of Hashes, and of course more of D.Cs Ice and more John Sinclair etc. By now it was about 11:30 pm we decided to go to 420 to try there Volcano, I thought that they closed at 1:00 so we had some time. We finished off another bowl and Ft smoked some more of one of his spliffs. I gave Ft some of my stash because I knew I couldn't finish it in the next day, Damned Cold! Then, we headed down the staircase, I gave the, undamaged, glass bowl back to the Budtender and I thanked him again; then we headed out.
As we walked over to 420, we ran in to a "Busker", (a street singer and guitar player), who ftcarrer had met earlier that day. The guy was in a hurry, he had to catch the last Ferry over to the North side of the Bay. We didn't want to hold him up so we said our fair-wells and headed into 420. We went up to the Budtender and asked if we could use the "Volcano". He said that they closed in 15 minutes and that there wouldn't be enough time to heat the thing up and then use it. We decided to head over to the Nes and talk to D.C.
On the way over to Nes, We stopped at a Frit shop so Ftcarrer could get some chips. He asked if I wanted some, I told him about my Diabetes and that I was saving my carbohydrate consumption for Beer. He got a kick out of that. That strategy has served me pretty well during this trip, however!
When we got to the Nes we grabbed a small table then I ordered a Gulpner and Ft had an Orange Juice, he said he didn't drink alcohol. The bartender said D.C would be down soon. I took some light hits on my Pipe of something, Black Widow I think, with some Ice mixed in. I believe that Ft smoked one of his Spliffs, at this point every thing was kind of a blur, so I can't say for sure!
After a little while D.C came over to out table. Ft and I both told him how much we liked the Ice. D.C told us it was Pot of Gold and Hindu kush Ice, that is some pretty pure Indica Ice! Then we told him about some of the shit that Ft had bought since he had seen him earlier that day, very impressive! We told D.C about the John Sinclair that I had purchased at Abraxas, he wanted to have a look and a whiff. I started looking for the J.S as the 3 of us talked. I got a little wrapped up in the conversation and kept re-looking for the Bag, quite a few times. D.C finally said "are we gonna have a look at the John Sinclair then" I asked Ft if he had I had given it to him, so, he looked for it as I searched again. "Fuck, I think we smoked it"! Sorry D.C, I'm glad you at least got a kick out of "the never ending search for the John Sinclair.
By now the Bartender announced last call. Ftcarrer was leaving the next day and I would have an early flight the day after that, so, we said our goodbyes and expressed our gratitude to D.C, then we hit the road. I had very much enjoyed my time at the Nes with D.C and his Bartenders. I would highly recommend the Nes if you want a good Cannabis friendly bar.
Ft and I walked down Nes to Damstratt together, we agreed to meet at Basjoe a 11:00 am the next day for Geeky Monkey's T&T. Then He went straight over to Warmerstratt to his Hotel and I tuned left to head down to Radhuisstratt to my Hotel. I must say, I really enjoyed spending time with Ft that night. We are certainly "on the same page", as far as Cannabis consumption goes. And he is a really nice guy, Cheer Mate!

i'd alomost forgotten about you breaking the bowl it was a pity no-one else showed hopefully it was because they were to stoned somewhere else but I think we smoked enough to make up for it 
oh & the 4077 did get a little bit stronger over time i'll be going back for more anyway
I still have possibly 2 J's of ice left aswell it's all ready in the freezer for when England win the world cup or when they go out ( i could be VERY stoned later )
