I agree- that's why I think you are better off smoking what looks and smells good at the time rather than particular strains from particular shops.

Under flushed is the worst though, because the weed can look perfect and then just suck to smoke. (Although some of the finest-smoking weed I've had wouldn't win any beauty contests.)

At least I don't know any visual signs to look for if a weed is under flushed- anyone have some pointers?

If the ash is dark or black, more than likely the weed was poorly flushed.
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

Yeah, I know that. I meant before you smoke it. It's pretty easy to tell after. :(

the weed I used to grow was always well flushed except once when we had a problem and the difference I noted was the colour, the not flushed enough weed was a darker shade of green.

oh yeah and the unflush stuff give us both headaches :!:

I generally find that if you know the smell of the weed you are purchasing (or roughly what it should smell like) then you can see if the weed smells of chems. I'm not sure how to describe it but the weed generally doesn't smell as clean if it has had a poor flush, there's a particular smell that is present.

Anyone else find this?

To date, I'm not aware of any visual cue you can use to tell how well a plant was flushed. If anyone knows of one please chime in.

BTW, you can't use the "chemical smell" test because, in my experience, weed that hasn't fully dried has an astringent odor that could easily be confused as a "chemical smell". If you're a grower, think about when you burp your jars for the first week and how the gear smells when you huff all the air out after opening the lid :)

I'm beginning to think the most important thing with a nice Chocolope is a really long cure.

Had some a few months back. Was just kinda sweet and melony, tasted fantastic, but had a negligible high.

Same batch about 12 weeks later - same melony twang, but with a big chocolatey punch thrown in too. And a much, much stronger stone. Yum.

I had some from GA a couple of years ago and I must say it didnt really blow me away, it tasted and smelt nice but just not a strong high with it. Then again my tolerence was through he roof as I was smoking non-stop for 3 days. I had to sprinkle some Grey mist crystals to pep it up a bit.

I agree with usbonglord on this one. I bought some a few weeks ago...not sure where..Little maybe. I was already quite stoned and love the taste. Liked it so much I went to DNA Genetics and bought some seeds. the next day I smoked it with morning coffee. Great joint-where's the high? Oh no! I bought seeds for this one! I hope a long cure brings out some potency like somebody suggested. Not in a hurry to grow this one.

Mellow Yellow is where I must have bought it. also got S5 and Amnesia Haze, which were top notch. I should remember cuz I didn't spend much time in coffeeshops this trip. Only bought bough 11 bags in 7 days. I visited just about every reputable seed merchant this trip, though. I was on a quest to find Mr Nice Black Widow, which I never found. But I did manage to accumulate a nice list of great genetics.

lmao bongdude yeeeeeeep we gave the stuff more than one chance and it failed miserably. I remember thinking "Whoever thought this was good is a bigger lightweight than Oscar De La Hoya". Not to offend the people who like the flavor, but if I want chocolate in my pipe I'll smoke a Hershey's Bar... would probably give me more of a buzz too.

For me chocolope isnt a powerful smoke at all, but put one sausage of temple ball in and the flavour becomes incredible !
