Can anyone recommend a good coffeeshop to watch the world cup games? Especially the Dutch v Denmark game on Monday!

1 of the main squares must be screening the dutch games, f**k sitting in a dingy cs 2watch the football, gotta be outside with a beer & spliff or in a pub, football=alcohol, im gonna be there for the game against japan & will be hoping 2watch on big screen somewhere, i know ajax arena are screening games, but thats a bit far out

well if you here of anywhere i'm over there for the cameroon game should be good! i agree splif outside watching the footy on a big screen but hey inside will have to do otherwise

Outside DOES sound good (especially with the sunny weather forcast!)...that being said, perhaps Coco's Outback will do the trick (if they're not too insanely busy). On their website they mentioned how they've added a few flat screen tv's outside on their patio for the games.

I DID hear that they were showing the Dutch games at Ajax stadium but I was concerned that it might be too "family friendly" and smoking might be a no-no.

Coco's Outback had tv's outside during the euros and man, it was HAMMERED! Can't be enjoyable watching it like a sardine in a can.

I'll be heading for the coffeeshops that aren't showing the world cup for a wee bit of peace with my J's. When England are on I'll be sat in my big armchair in my rented apartment smoking a few cones with the mrs.

Damn shame I cant be there to see us stuff the yanks but I've made my bed, now I gotta lie in it! Roll on the Algeria game though.

Ok, so coco's MIGHT be too much but sitting in our apartment ain't an option!

Gotta tell ya, if the US were to beat y'all...it'll be HUGE!

I think I read somewhere there is to be a big screen in Rembrandtsplein.

popeyes and prix d ami both screened games for euro 2008 when i was there. i agree though try and find an outdoor fan zone or beer garden. heard cocos outback shows sports too.

Well is England are good at one thing it's letting everyone down! So wouldn't be surprised myself if you guys beat us. That being said, you gotta believe! If we can't beat the US, we don't deserve to win the world cup.

Enjoy it wherever you watch it mate. My recommendation would be to check out the Vondelpark, they always have big screens. Although with the Roots festival coming up I'm not sure what'll be going on. Not much beats rolling out a big blanket, cracking open a few beers and having a spliff watching the game in the park.

Try Basjoe, Popeyes or the GreenPlace. Those places often have games on the T.V. I can't imagine them not showing the World Cup games.

The prix-da-mi has big screens with football on non stop,Ps i can 2nd the greenplace as well ,4-20 normaly have there Tv on but its animal programs mainly! may be another story on dutch matchdays thou .

im booked to be in town in a fortnight. i'd totally forgotten about the world cup and am now hoping to avoid it entirely and will be going down the quiet out of the way coffeeshops without tellys route on match days. at least it will be half way through the tournament so there will be fewer matches to avoid.

Yeah, can you believe the US tied England? We watched that one from the airport before departing...

Watched EVERY game so far (well, 75 percent...) at de Graal on a big white sheet with an Internet stream! Lovingly ghetto! Best group (mostly Dutch with the occasional Brit) and friendliest atmosphere...

Checking out the Brazil North Korea game now!
