Hey all.
Just an update and some feedback.
(sorry if I get too geeky below)
I've had some ask me in PM's they can't see the map. Just wait several seconds and more and it should load within at least 15 to 30 seconds. I've yet to make what's known as a preloader that gauges your PC and internet speed accordingly as to how slow or quick the map loads with an animated loading bar.
Remember, iphone users can't view the map as Apple do not offer Flash based web viewing on their phones. Other certain smartphones with pinch and zoom facility will work, albeit it gets a little pixelated close up, you can just about read the street names still. The map works on my HTC Desire phone and loads in less than 20 seconds, but no idea about the specs of other phones. I've spoken to an Android developer who says it may or may not work in a PDF file for phones, but this is last on the list of things to do, the map needs to be fully completed first with all catagories for the general internet first.
As it's a Flash based map, it's in vector graphics. This means it can be blown up to poster size or even larger, without losing any detail. It's completely pointless trying to print the map to A4 or even A3 in size, as it's too big. It can only be printed at a high street printers and due to it's size will be quite costly. The colours are way too rich as well for the map to be printed correctly, as I've done a test. I can easily save the map as a JPEG but the file would be insanely huge and lose all the detail as I've done tests.
It would probably freak you all out how long it took to make, just to get it to this stage, let alone wanting to plot all the other top attractions and museums, etc, along with clickable and mouse-rollover coding to extra information and possibly photographs.
I'll delete the coffeeshops listed so far that are closed when I have time.
In the very, very, long run I hope the map will be the best one designed in Flash that details all coffeeshops, pubs, museums, top sights, shops, markets.......the list goes on and on.
Just one last word of warning, this is a hobby only and web design like this takes huge patience to create. I suggest you just as well go off and study a degree in something before I finish it all......no seriously!
Thanks for the kind words and feedback so far.

OK, just updated the map with info given here and from asoka forum. I'm happy to instantly update the coffeeshop map section as I go, with any feedback, but all other work at the moment I'll have to put on hold as I'm busy with work stuff. Highlighted names at start of the thread have been removed off the map. Other pubs and cafes that are smoker friendly will be on another map later on as this map is for coffeeshops selling weed only. Cheers.
