What is the point of hardcore research and study for some wanker scientist that is getting paid by the government to say that its all a load of bullshit and it doesn't help anyone just to keep the government happy.
What use is the research that the scientists do, when they have to lie to the british public just to keep their job????

I can die every time i have a seizure., I feel shit without weed and i have a seizure that has been proved more than once, but i toke, i feel fine after 10 mins. What good is research when you just have to look on the net for hardcore evidence that people are happy and still alive because of cannabis.
I have found a link that is on youtube, i wouldn't watch it if you are soft but it explains that epilepsy is helped by Cannabis and people swap it for medication.
I don't believe that Cannabis is going to be legalised in this bullshit country, the government don't want you to be happy and have fun. Rastas believe in world peace, and if everyone smoked there would be no probs.
I don't believe that cannabis helps everything but it does help somethings. I just get offended when people basically question as to why i am still alive.

Because that's how science, in particular Medical Science, works. It's used to work out any variables etc. That 'wanker' scientist does his job so we don't get conned, have real treatment for illness's and are as safe as possible with taking meds, it keeps the general population happy and allows for the huge advancements we have made in medical science to continue to happen.

My point, research is important, it's not a case of believe the Stoner. This is the problem with you MMJ activists, you don't understand there is precedure previously places and you think because you're offering Cannabis as a solution you get to bypass these. It may well do, but does it quote studies, does it give a detailed account of the long term effects of using Cannabis as a replacement, does it come from a large enough sample group to be truely representive, does it use a comparitive measure of study to show the difference, does it use quanitive or qualitive data? This is ultimately useless because i am sure it'll be ignored but it's worth bringing up.

So, it shows someone being relived by a Cannabis usage. This is not representive study, in fact, you do not know the previous efforts made to control seizures which could of influenced the effect of the Cannabis. This is seriously short of convincing scientific evidence.

Hundreds of thousands of people (possibly millions) have claimed that marijuana has helped cure various ailments. What more proof do you need that marijuana is good medicine? Let me guess, your so brainwashed by negative propaganda that you can't possibly imagine that a plant that grows from the ground can be of some benefit for those who suffer. People have used plants and herbs for centuries to help cure and relieve what ails them. Why would you single out marijuana as the one plant that can't help heal?

Also, for the record, we used to use leeches to bleed people when they had a headache. Zulu cultures used to bust people's skulls open with a stone to relief the pressure from a headache. We don't do that anymore. So don't give me the ' man has cured itself for years ' line. 'Cos it doesn't fly, human life expectancy has increased as the introduction and perfection of medical science has progressed. Letting in a bunch of stoners waving around some bud shouting about how it's the cure for everything without any Scientific data substainal enough to justify such claims, is a step in the wrong direction.

Puffin, in what possible way does fatalities due to taking a medicine remove the need for Demonstable Scientific Data.

If you are actually concerned with side effects due to medication, then you would champion the use of Demonstable Scientific Data backing up a medicine placed on the market. Unless it's Cannabis of course, then we can just believe in word of mouth!

Also, for a bit of perspective Puffin, do you have any idea what the ration is of those who die from modern medicine against those it helps. We wouldn't want to be accused of biased protrayal of the situation without consideration of the other side of the argument right....

I love how Sir Niall always gets over dramatic and tries to make people who think marijuana has medicinal value look like they think it's a cure all for every disease. If you want scientific proof just google it dude. I'm not gonna post links because I don't feel like pissing my time away when I've linked several studies that show it's benefits with cancer in another thread where people were crying about marijuana as medicine. There have been several studies that prove marijuana is beneficial for multiple diseases. It is proven to relieve ocular pressure. I've watched video of people with muscular distrophy be relieved of their symptoms within seconds of inhaling marijuana. It's excellent for insomnia and can be effective to treat depression. People need to unlearn all the negative propaganda that they've been subjected to and learn to look at marijuana in a different light. Marijuana is fun to smoke and has been proven to have the power to heal. What more do want from a plant that grows from the ground?
