Recluse, I understand the point you're making - but there's no point in making it on an internet forum unless you're willing to engage in sensible 2 way communication. If you just take a slightly less aggressive tone, I'm sure you'll find some open ears.
I'd agree that there is certainly alot more bad smoke around these days than there was 20 odd years ago. Soapbar and gritweed are considered the norm in some parts (though not on these boards, I suspect) and that is indeed a depressing situation - and not something I experienced 'back in the day'.
However, there is still plenty (or more) amazing smoke out there too. Some of it just as good as the best from the early 90s, and some much better.
But you need to do a bit of research and know the right people if you want to make sure you don't end up with a bag of commercial rubbish. And that in itself takes a degree of interpersonal social skills. If suppliers don't trust you, for whatever reason, or if you come across as rude, it might be very difficult to get the answers you need.
It's also worth pointing out that no weed, however good, will make you feel like you did when you were a happy, stoned 20 year old. Your brain will have changed, and indeed, seems to be in a current state of flux. You can't expect any spliff to fix that I'm afraid. It's not that good skunk doesn't have the same effects these days, it's that your brain doesn't react to it in the same way it used to (esp if you suffer from schizophrenia?).
I reckon you should take a step back, forget about weed for a while, and concentrate on getting your head better. When you're in a happier place, then maybe you could think about experimenting again. And if you struggle with communication skills, remember internet forums are a rule unto themselves, so don't take it too personally - it's just a bit of fun for most people.
