You have been posted on the August Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=33482

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

Combine that map and this map.

Plenty of coffeeshops in the area.

It's a very pretty part of Amsterdam. If you are there on a Saturday morning, there is a beautiful market just around the corner at the Noorderkerk.. Don't miss it if you're there. There's also a general goods type market close by on Westerstraat. That's held on Saturdays and Mondays.
Nearby you have Westerpark which is far less touristy than Vondelpark.

Congrats on renting a houseboat in one of the trendiest spots in AMS to party. No, there's really not much available parking around, but as you'll find out, yer steps away from the big chains on Harlemmerstraat. Down the street from you is Siberie which is a nice place to chill from all the glitz. I also recommend Picasso as a safe haven. Have fun!

And yes, it is expensive, but then, yer on vacation!

innercity parking is no option in amsterdam unless your hotel provides own parking. otherwise parking outside is recommended.

I parked in the amsterdam arena for 3 nights in 2007. Car got its windows broken and almost everything stolen. The guards there just miffed and did nothing, when asked why was I paying for guarded parking... Not a nice trip to Finland in a car with no windows.

In 2006 I had my car in a city parking carage under the street in the central amsterdam. Was more expensive, but atleast nothing was stolen that time :)
