nice one panog, i hope you enjoy the unit
i have had my arizer extreme q for three months and just love it, it gives all of the potency and taste and none of the by-products of combustion
what i have read in a book about vapourising
1. the range for vapourisation of the thc cannabinoid is 180 celsius to 200c
2. the range for combustion of the herbal material is 230c to 235c
what i was told last january by the budtender at paradox
1. you only need about 0.1 gram of material for a good smoke
2. when a new variety of weed comes into the shop, he starts by vapping a little to check out how it tastes
what i was told last january by a customer at paradox
1. the vapour of the thc cannabinoid is clear
2. the thc starts to vapourise at 180c
3. for a smoke a setting of 185c is a reasonable compromise between not-too-cool and not-too-hot
4. the temperature for the vapourisation of the cbd/cbn/etc cannabinoids is 220c
what i do in practice
1. i put in from 0.1 gram to 0.3g of herbal material, lately i have been putting in about half a bowl-full to try to stop the airflow creating a small donut of the material with a hole in the centre
2. i start at 180c
3. after the run of vapour starts to diminish i take the bowl and elbow off the unit (watch out it's hot!!!) and putting it on a ceramic surface i give it a little stir and replace for another run of vapour
4. maybe i'll give it another stir if i have something really nice and there is a lot of vapour at 180c
5. finally i will up the temperature setting by 5c to 185c and repeat the cycle of smoke-stir-smoke-stir
6. depending upon what i have in the bowl and how desperate i am for a stone i might stir and go up another 5c to 190c
7. by then or earlier the material will be exhausted and should be a light brown chocolate shade
i don't have definitive confirming references for most of this information, so any comments about what i might have right and what i might have wrong would be appreciated, after all i am here to learn
a possible slogan
smoke vapour, not smoke
