Hi there, i am a new member and this is my first post, nice to meet you all.
I have visited the dam once before, and absolutely loved it to pieces, i have another trip planned for mid july and plan to attend the cannabis cup in november

However, although i enjoyed my last trip to Amsterdam, smoking as many variaties as possible, i wondered if any of you could reccomend nice coffeshops where i could find some fruity strains / something a little bit different.

Last time i visited i found my favourite coffeshops to be:

1. Coffeshop Ben - where we had some beautiful lemon haze.
2. Resin - Where the house special of resin haze was nice

generally i suppose i'm not so much as looking for fruity strains, these would be most enjoyed but generally some great coffeshops to visit as last time i found some of the bud to be a rip off / not as fresh as it could be ... i will now have a browse around and try to find some ones to visit in the reviews, but any help with reccomendations to places where i can get some proper proper good stuff rather then pretty good bud, would be more then appreciated!

I am from the UK, and love a proper skunk such as a white rhino, or a proper fresh californian orange, also last time i visited i struggled to find the buds i wanted, i found some lovely hazes all over the dam but struggled to find variations things that differed from hazes! anyway if anyone is up for a chat or helping me out it would be so appreciated because i love my bud more then anyone and really want to find the better buds in the town

I got burned out on hazes last year as well, i know where your coming from.
Try Grey Area.
Also, we are in town mid july as well ( july 13th ) , if you want to hook up for a smoke at Katsu or Basjoes ( two fave shops in Amsterdam last year ).

ha ha yeh you know i love any weed really but the hazes do get a little dull, specially when all you want is a bit of fruity bud which i searched for high and low this time round, and funnily enough i arrive in the dam on the 13th also! so will hit u up on here when i arrive and maybe have a smoke up! thanks for replying though mate, you know how it is, just wanna find the best stuff you can and the internet is a way to find it faster rather then going to the dam 600 times and having to find for urself, i learnt a lot last time i was out there but still have a lot to experience! would be good to have a smoke though, take it easy! griff and p.s big up the grateful dead!

Hiya griff.. welcome aboard mate, well theres lots of places from greenplace with some of the best bud but expensive also does great deals on the classic strains. with basjoe close by to get some bas special. i would head down to to de pijp area great value smokes a few coffeeshops i liked there where ocean, katsu(not so much last trip), de graal, carmona,yo yo, papillion, club media theres bloody loads i did make some maps to each coffeeshop cant find then but i posted them here http://my420online.com/index.php?page=f ... _id=100034. if you ever need
top places for me are
greenplace - blueberry cheese/og kush/headband
basejoe- bas special
hunters sour and nyc deisel
dampkring- white russian/habibi
amnesia- lsd/pink kush
grey area - 4077/casey jones
paradox - chocolope /banana milkshakes
homegrown fantasy - durban poison maybe get the cheese if it stinks big time
nes - a nice drink and allows smoking pure (great place
burger bar - fucking YUM YUM
bushdoctors - its expensive but a great menu of isolator hash
mellow yellow - cheap amnesia haze / s5 haze / sleezestack
club media - pot of gold /
ocean - jack herer
carmona - great deal on hawiian haze 2 grams
papillion.. - good hash
recent trip reports are the best way to tell whats hot or not and if you are about for cannabis cup there will be lots of toke and talks, ive met a fair few ACDers in dam and there always sorted people to smoke with

Fly by night : i will be in town from the 13th-16th, only a little break and will look to go for a proper one in november, hence why wanted as much info as possible because of the fact that obviously you wanna make the most of it, but feel free to post me on the whos in town page.

Stuart - Cheers for all the information mate, will come in very useful i'm sure, am in South Africa at the moment and getting charged a lot of money for the internet so it won't be of much use till i get back on the 1st then i can plan direction routes and a basic itinary sorta thing, but it all looks very useful. from brighton myself (sussex) so good to speak to another englishmen lol! one question though is the NES cafe you've mentioned still open, as last time i tried to visit it had been shut (the pool bar one?)

thanks to all of you though for helping me out, will be back to post more and probably ask some more noobie questions when i'm back in the UK and making a sorta plan!

Also! lol sorry but do you any of you know anything the globe hotel in amsterdam as thats where i've booked, particuarly if smoking is allowed in the actual bedrooms? as when i stayed in bobs youth hostel last time i went in october we weren't allowed to smoke in the bedrooms and had to be in by 3am, im aware at this place we have no curphew but at bobs it was a bit on the grubby side, hoping the globe wont be but to be honest it dont matter to much cus its only short break and it obviously aint gonna be no 5 star hotel lol

cheers mate, am having a look through the menus now looks very useful indeed, any ideas wheres a good bet to get some fresh stuff? as most of the stuff in dam is like bone dry cus its industry out there, thanks for the help, will give u a time and date when back in the UK and know a little more about it, cus out in Africa at the moment for the world cup. cheers griff

alsooo sensi seeds obviously a very big seed company who make a lot of nice strains but last time i was there couldnt find no where that actually had there bud ready to buy and smoke? any idea on that front? same for flying dutchmen / dutch passion?

my last trip it all seemed dry, but for me the fresher bud was from de pijp area. i sure hope you weren't supporting England out in Africa mate

unfortunately mate i was, im still grieving, u spend all that money to watch us play shit for 4 games! ah well home soon, and dam after ten days in the country so cant complain, then will save some money and book the cannabis cup, u out here for that stu, if so should arrange a smoke! take it easy, and keep the south safe for me while im gone lol

not into the cup, im out next in amsterdam for 420(20th april) next year with untold from here, should be interesting you should pop out then and join the mass fuck yourself up on bud/hash/oils. kingdoc - balou - luvtick and bonglord are all out there for the cup i think plus DC at nes and gapie will be there too if i was there i would try to hook up with them all and just get slaughtered
