just wondering if anyone has stayed there or knows what its like here. found a deal online for 3 nights in double room for 220 quid, sounds good to me but any opinions would be welcome

Sounds really expensive, unless it is 5star or something.
Did you look at Priceline ?
They had 4star in prime season for around or under 60euros a night in city center.

its 4 stars and quite well known so was wondering if 22o was a bargin for a hotel that ppl rave about. i dont care for priceline

i guess 3 nights in a double is 3 nights for two people, so £220 between 2 is £110 for 3 nights ... this gives £36.67 per person per night

this is about the best price i have been able to get in amsterdam for a comfortable double

Don't stay there if you are planning to toke, we stayed there for a night in 2005 no problem but when returned in 2007 (BEFORE tobacco smoking ban, in a smoking room both times) there were silly little cards in the room explaining that if you smoked hash or weed you would be subject to a large "cleaning" bill.

A sad change of policy especially when they trade on their reputation as where all the cool musicians stay after gigs at Paradiso/Melkweg.

Needless to say we won't stay there again!
