Greetings from Switzerland!

Post by caveman »

Hey everyone, I'm Caveman. I am from California but I'm living with some family in Thurgau for the summer, mostly working as a carpenter. I got next week off so I plan on takin the train to A'dam Monday through Friday. I plan on going to the T&T at Green Place on Monday and hopefully meet some cool cats there. I have no real plans except going to at least a couple coffeeshops every day. I was thinking the zoo, maybe a couple museums, swimming if it gets hot, and chilling out reading some books. So if anybody wants to meet up, I would love that, especially since I'm goin by myself. Like I said, I don't have any set plans so I'm pretty much up for anything that is within my limited budget.

Thanks! I must admit I am a bit nervous going solo, but it's good to know I will be meeting some folks right when I get there.

Yeah i was a bit nervous first time solo, but its great, some of my best trips have been solo ones. Do a bit of research before you go so you know whats what and print off a coffeeshop map, you will find your way around no problem. :)

Welcome to the forum.

What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Enjoy

Welcome to ACD Caveman. I'll be in town by myself as well while you are there. We can make some plans to hang out, coffeeshop crawl or go to Zandvoort for a swim at the T&T Monday. It's my 8th trip so I know the city pretty well

Peace,
Balou

You have been posted on the July Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.
Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
There is one planned on the 5th.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/profi ... le&u=48442

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

Some shops have computers, though free WiFi is more common.
Freeworld is one that I know has computers in the back.

Enjoy

Thanks all! And yea, I did look it over. I've been to Isla Vista a couple times, where UC Santa Barbara resides, and I did not get hit by a bike there whilst baked, so hopefully I will manage!
